  1. Yes, but you can't expect the shop to keep low prices of 99p for a top, when they have to pay rent. Get real. Do you not know we're in a resession? the prices of things have to change some time. And yes they do consider how much it cost the donatior... and then work along those lines. If they sold everything "at low prices" the shop would end up closing down. And to be honest they arn't expensive.
  2. I agree with you. And yes maybe the quality has gone down but all the donations are from the public so it is'nt really their fault. It's because people like this are not bringing stuff down. Please get over yourselfs! Don't jugde the whole shop/staff because of one or two people. It really isn't fair
  3. I don't really think they are because i know that Oxfam is really quite busy. A lot of the charity shops have good days and bad days to be honest. But I don't think they will end up being compleatly taken over by ebay or other sites. If it was too happen it would be very far in the future
  4. At the end of the day... it's about saving and helping people worse off then us... they use advertisements to show you just how bad the situations are... not just because they want to. Like somebody said we all complain that things are expensive but yet you're having a go at them... If you don't like oxfam then go to a different charity shop, there still doing an amazing job at looking after people. when the health of people is involved am sure you could live without 1p.
  5. ha. well 81p in the pound goes to helping people, and 25p in the pound extra goes to helping people if you gift aid. I think you all need to stop being so bitchy and just accsept that there helping people with help from you. so really every penny you give is helping one person at least. Isn't that what really matters? Not 1p that's just going to say in your perse. That's how I see it and if you don't well your lose.
  6. I don't really care how old it is. I'm sticking up for it. no if you went in you would see all the bags say oxfam on them and they are clean, new bags. 1p has been the same value for ages so don't tell me it's changed because even if it has there is nothing you can do with it they do charge for bags but it all goes to charity and stops the amount of plastic bags taking over and polluting us. Just bring your own.
  7. Okay.I'm under the age of 18.I would just like to say to you that they always give you your change and if not the chasier must have misherd you... meaning you must speak clearer... as somebody said they do have people with autisium in the shop. As for the bags they're all new, it might have looked "second hand" but i'm sure it wasn't. 1p... i'm sure you could live without it.
