  1. I wouldn't ignore it perhaps best to explain the situation and send a copy of your blue badge, I'm presuming there are not prominent notices re parking if you didn't see them, I would mention this also. There is a template letter online and do not sign it just print your name
  2. I am looking for an organisation where I can get a PAT dog to visit a care home can anyone help please?

  12. This is the letter I used last week for a PCN received at Meadowhall Retail Park, I sent it on Monday and received a letter back on Thursday waiving the charge. I sent it with proof of postage only and do not sign just type in the name who the charge was sent too. Good luck Dear G24, This is an appeal against the charge issued to the vehicle with the registration (Your Registration) charge reference (Insert number) It is the registered keepers assertion that : 1. The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss. 2. That the signage does not conform to the BPA CoP to which G24 has committed. 3. That G24 has no authority to issue charges over the land in question. As such the charge is rejected. You should now either cancel said charge or provide a POPLA code for the registered keeper to appeal to the independent adjudicator. Any further correspondence other than confirmation of cancellation or a POPLA code will be considered harassment and could result in legal action being taken against you. Yours, (Name on PCN, do not sign)
  13. Alcoblog, you will get a lot advice on here and also look at Moneysaving expert forums, you may be better starting a new thread. Good luck
  14. Hi Jaykays 09, I sent in the short version letter from the moneysaving expert form and the charge was waived, letter sent last Monday and letter waiving charge received on Thursday, I sent it with proof of posting as suggested. Hope this helps and good luck
  15. I am aware there are some old threads re this but I wanted to make people aware of the time limits for parking at MEADOWHALL RETAIL PARK. I took my 90 year old mum in her wheel chair a couple of weeks ago she doesn't go out much so Boundary Mill or The Range are suitable for her, a nice coffee shop/ restaurant and not too busy mid week and a warm environment. I usually go the The Range at Doncaster but a Meadowhall Retail Park is closer thought I'd take her there, we arrived at 11:07 had coffee, shopped, had lunch, shopped all done very slowly and left at 2:40. 2 weeks later I receive a parking fine from G24 I have parked for 213 minutes and you are only allowed 180 minutes, when I went back to look for signs there is a very small sign very high up a pole as you drive in, you have no chance of seeing it if you aren't looking for it and I parked in a disabled bay outside Toys R Us there is a disabled sign on the wall but nothing else, there are signs dotted around the card park but I have never seen them. Why don't they just charge for parking? SO PLEASE TELL EVERYONE THAT YOU CAN ONLY PARK FOR 3 HOURS OR YOU GET A £50 FINE
  16. I got a PCN from G24 at Meadowhall retail park I parked for 213 minutes instead of 180 minutes, I have parked and shopped here many times and was not aware of the time limit and spent the day in The Range, I received the PCN on Saturday Morning, found the short version appeal letter on Martin Lewis Money saving forum and sent off on Monday, received a letter today waiving the fine. RESULT Before I received the letter waiving the fine I went back to the retail park to look for signs and couldn't believe how small the sign is as you drive in and how high up the post it is, you have no chance of seeing it unless you are looking for it and where I parked in a disabled bay outside Toys R Us there is no signage. I will not be giving shops on Meadowhall Retail Park my custom in the future going to Parkgate where there are no time restrictions.
  17. Thanks lollipop2011, I'm in my 50.s so won't be able to get these, searched for info on discounted tickets but can't find anything
  18. Does anyone know where I might find a discount code to purchase tickets for a show at the Lyceum Theatre? Thank you
  19. Thanks Jason, would it have to go into a vauxhall garage or would my local one beable to do it, they have just fixed a problem when a light came on the dashboard. Did you fix your own or did a garage do it? Thanks ---------- Post added 11-08-2013 at 19:14 ---------- I have searched vauxhall forums but can not find anything.
  20. Have a 2008 Astra twintop and sometimes the roof won't open, when you are pressing the button inside the car the process starts and then stops leaving the boot slightly open and it won't then close, we fiddle with the boot lock and then it's ok, anyone had this problem and know how to resolve it. Next step is a vauxhall garage which I guess won't be cheap. Any advice appreciated.
  21. There was no power of attorney but the person was taking monies from the account via a bank card, when this came to light and it was stopped by social services and the bank, however after the person died I found out that money had still been removed over the counter and also taken after the death, the bank I formed me that the person taking the money had 3rd party authority. I am struggling to find out from the bank when & where this was set up as the bank account is now closed. The account holder had Alzheimer's and their finances were managed by an money appointee arranged via social services. They were aware of financial safeguarding issues. I don't know what to do and this is so stressful.
  22. As far as I know they had 3rd party access to a single named account and they could set up or change DD/SO and withdraw funds.
  23. Thank you, do you know if its any cheaper if the person is in receipt of pension credit (guaranteed credit) ?
