Deena used to live near me as a child my family lived on Pomona Street. Deena married a neighbour called Rodney and went to live at Loxley she was a mobile hairdresser. I also went to Greystones with My sister Rita and Christine Hardwick I am Vera.

Yes that is correct,he was half brother to my uncle Hedley, I am a cousin of Judy and Roy Milner, the children of Hedley Milner we all lived in the same area, just off Ecclesall Road. He kept his lorry on the sidings at Millhouses. ---------- Post added 30-12-2015 at 14:37 ---------- My Uncle Hedley Milner operated out of the Millhouses coal sidings also his son Roy. they lived on Denham Road, Sheffield and ran the office from there. He worked in all weathers and some days used to come home wet through. I am the cousin and still keep in regular touch with my cousins of Hedley Judy & Roy. It was always wonderful to have an open fire.

I remember lots of these names as I also went to Greystones Sylvia Longbottom, she lives at Meadowhead area now was my friend also her sister Ann, Sylvia Bolton was my friend Valerie Firth's cousin. Can you remember Janet Whiting as she is also on this forum, my names was Vera Hardwick my cousin is Judy Milner.

My Uncle Hedley Milner was a coal merchant and lived on Denham Road, off Ecclesall Road, can anyone remember him and his son Roy doing the rounds.

Yes coming back for good will be house hunting soon want to live near my daughter Jayne, she lives at Halfway and Ambrose now lives Barlborough. Jayne and her dad walk lots as she has a dog. I am sure he would be pleased to be in touch again will be speaking to Jayne later. Where in the world are you now a days???

Hi Ken oftens wondered what happened too you, yes some good times back then. I have been living and working in Turkey for 15 years a place called Bodrum working in the airport for the tour operators. I plan on returning to Sheffield soon, all sounds wonderful in the sun but not actually what people think. Ambrose is in France fishing at the moment, but never heard or seen Mick Cree and his wife Ann. Hope all is well with you,keep in touch ....Vera

I went to Greystones school, do you remember Mrs Harrison I was in her class, I lived at Hunters Bar, my maiden name was Hardwick, my Gran had a news agents shop in Thomas Street next to the Brunswick Pub. My friend Susan Hardy lived on Hodgson Street. I also had a sister called Rita who also went to the school.
