  1. I am using the full version of Nero 7 but there is no option to ''Make DVD'' in Vision (as per the picture)?

Is this version outdated, I tried Nero 2015 but found it too complex.

Edit- solved (for anyone that cares)- the external hard drive unit needs to be plugged in first

  2. Outside of Soaps, do most regular character actors and actresses survive the initial novelty factor of their immediate TV fame? I think very few?

I don't mean the likes of major actors such as Sir Ian McKellen, who featured in Corrie for a short while, or others who guest starred/cameo'd over the years in soaps for a few episodes, but regular actors such as Angela Griffin, Susan Tully, Claire King and Adam Woodyatt?

Amongst the few major soap regular characters, I can think of only Barbara Windsor (Carry On films) and John Savident aka Fred Elliott (Battle of Britain, Waterloo and Sharpe) who had major non-soap careers?

Are they seen as a joke in the industry on the whole?

  3. You do know that Sean Bean isn't really Ned Stark right?

He also wasn't really in the fellowship of the ring.

I can't believe the blasphemy on this thread.

    Typical mardybums.

I would happily donate a few quid towards a statue and if you lot don't want it I will have it in my back yard.

    I think he's loverly.

    Yeah, Sean's great.

    Typical mardy and depressive Sheffielders...:|

  4. Reading Boy Friday's interesting post about the inadequacies about the hypocritical and rather stupid British extremist trying to pop a leaflet through his door (and the inability of the 'campaigner' to explain his party's ''policies''), I thought about what 'foreign' is (surely not alien in concept given Britain's diverse history?)? Or what 'English' is? UKIP have 'foreign' candidates, don't they?

Surely the famously multiracial British Royal family (and entire British nobility) are foreign? Norman descendants, also Germans, Danes, French, Spanish, Portugese, etc etc?

The Duke of Wellington was born in Ireland to Anglo-Irish nobility? By 1840 the British army was c.40% Irish, and many 'English' people today have Irish ancestors (Rooney, McCartney, Lennon, Milligan, etc)?

Winston Churchill was half-American, a legacy of the ailing fortunes of the British upper classes in the late 19thC which sought to marry wealthy American heiresses to boost their almost-bankrupt estates?

People from the West Indies (aside from black people in the Roman army here)were only invited to move to Britain because the country was so depleted and ravaged by WW2 and the weary people wouldn't perform some of the most mundane jobs?

When we want good cars, we look to Germany. High fashion we look to the Italians. Decent TV's and smartphones we look to Japan? When we want to sound posh we try to sound French? So we are not hypocrites?

So before we get on our xenophobic high horses about 'foreign', shouldn't we remember that without 'foreign' anything, there might not even have been a 'once great' Britain?

  5. I'm after a cable which will connect my aunty's bluray player to an older [box] TV scart, as in this pic-

I've tried to find one online at a reasonable price, but either they're discontinued on the European sites I found, or seem overpriced?

EDIT- never mind, one reviewer said they don't work and the ones online are fake?

  6. They have just advertised for temporary AOs in Immigration. Did you get anywhere with this OP? Interested as I've had some trouble with my application.

The contract for those drones at the Napier St hub was extended until October 2014, no idea what's going on at the centre near the law courts- they got rid of loads of agency staff there recently.

I think it's a case of [seasonal] numbers, expendable ones.
