I live at high green I'm a bit older than you I was telling bob batty about you last week and he said you were about 5yrs younger than us I remember all those places you said.. I went to Athelstan then to brook school.i played footie on the rec I played for handsworth social on there. Played for norfolk then onto turf . I used to live behind the plaza on the Bramley estate -

No I I didn't help up there but I was up there a few times cus both played for different teams one played with brunsmere for a few games then moved onto young owls ,junior blades and millers the other one played for chapeltown juniors so I was up there a bit really -

Hi I lived in handsworth 40years ago I worked at the norfolk behind the bar for Joan and Cyril and also roger ryalls. I also was one of guys which started the norfolk footy team up.and also played for them , then we moved the team upto the turf .ican remember all the shops mentioned. I used to go to the riviera club too. Bob batty was my best man at my wedding , I still see him now.we had some great times back then . I also played for handsworth social club and can remember the season whe we won the league without losing what a team that was , there was trev Anderson tommy Nolan what I can recall can't think of others at mo . -

I went to brook school 63-67 I remember mr stokes ,mr. Middleton ,mr lax , mr birch ,mr barker ,mr ashford .the name Napier rings a bell but can't put a face to her . -
Worst Road Surface In Sheffield??

Noticed new road surfaces which have not been down for two years have started to crack and crumble in high green. Thompson hill and wortley road .what a waste of money n time. Surely if the council are spending money on surfacing the roads surely they should be using decent material and using a decent tarmac firm instead of amey
