both of the ports are on the mother board, i know the motherboard has an intergrated graphics card on it. the computer was new in november so all the bit are/were "up to date"

the question i get stuck on is Are you using PCI or AGP display adapters? Multiple display support requires Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) or Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) display adapters (video cards). Industry Standard Architecture/Extended Industry Standard Architecture (ISA/EISA) display adapters are not supported. To determine whether you are using PCI or AGP display adapters, consult your display adapter documentation or manufacturer. If one of your display adapters is a different type, you need to replace it with a PCI or AGP adapter. Are your display adapters PCI or AGP?

I am wanting to use 2 screens on my computer i have 2 ports, a VGA and a DVI-D. i have bought a converter but it wont work. i have tried to follow the help function but it starts to ask me questions that i don't know about. can anyone help?
