This was done last July. Since then, these lights have just worked for a couple of months and then gone off...

Just installed street lights in front of the Co-Op petrol station (n.30 and n.31) are not working. I've reported the problem to Amey and Councillors. Apparently, the fault is from Northern Power Grid; the problem should be fixed by end of month. Let's see what happens.

I have heard about him, even though I've never seen him. I think that these services should be provided by council. Anyway, in this scenario of massive cuts, I understand that it is practically impossible to keep streets and parks clean with such a reduced workforce. So we could do our bit while raising awareness on the fact that these are services on which no compromises should be done...

The petition is really a good idea. I also do the same on the street...When I walk to the bus stop on Birley Moor Road, I generally collect lot of cans and plastic bottles. We could make it something "official".
