  1. Guns Or Roses are Yorkshire's answer to Guns N' Roses, THE top tribute band in Yorkshire and the South West. They play a full 90 minute set in costume with all the swagger, style and attitude of the original Hollywood hellraisers playing all the hits from Welcome To The Jungle through to Paradise City. For more info on the band, check out their Facebook page and go to http://www.gunsorroses.com. They're at Corporation in Sheffield on the 23rd March supported by local legends, rock n roll band Spill Sixteen (http://www.spillsixteen.com). Tickets are only £6 in advance which includes club entry afterwards and can be purchased through http://www.corporation.org.uk. Doors open at 7pm.
  2. Does anybody know of or does anybody have a minibus/splitter van my band could borrow in a couple of weeks from Saturday 10th Sept - Sunday 11th Sept? We're looking for the cheapest and most cost effective way to do this as we're travelling to Poole, Dorset. If anyone can help, that would be amazing!
  3. Guns Or Roses http://www.gunsorroses.com play LIVE this Saturday 6th August at The Leopard venue in Doncaster. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are £7 in advance (available at the venue) or £9 on the door. Guns Or Roses are arguably THE most entertaining tribute to Guns N' Roses in the UK. Wearing the leather and the spandex, carrying the attitude and the sound, these guys are sure to blow you away with their performance and stage-show! For more info, please go to http://www.gunsorroses.com where you'll find videos and tour dates.
  4. Bass player required for busy, professional tribute bands Guns Or Roses http://www.gunsorroses.com and Slash UK http://www.slash-uk.com We recently had to replace our bass player and the guy we drafted in cannot now fill the spot, so we're now looking for a bassist willing to gig pretty much every weekend all around the country. We also have a gig in Bulgaria this coming August, so a passport would be preferable. Obviously own gear is essential, own transport would be a bonus, but is not a must, and if you look like Duff, that would be cool, but again, that's not a must. We would prefer someone 20-35, but again, if you're good enough, we could probably work around that, but certainly over the age of 18 due to some of the clubs and pubs we play in. We are located in Sheffield and the North West, but your location is not necessarily a problem if you have your own transport. If interested, please call either myself Martin (Axl) on 07958486502 or John (Slash) on 07740812106. Hope to hear from you soon whoever you are
  5. Slash UK are a tribute band from yorkshire/north-west and are an offshoot of Guns N Roses tribute band Guns Or Roses http://www.gunsorroses.com We have an almost complete band for this project, all we're missing is someone to play keys and to sing the female led songs, ie Beautiful Dangerous and to also do backing vocals. We have gigs booked already, some of which are going to be big! This is a unique oportunity that we have taken advantage. There are no other tribute bands around that focus around the whole of Slash's career, so we have managed to secure gigs at some top venues. The ideal candidate must be flexible, must be able to gig weekends, must obviously have their own gear. It is essential that you're female too, can play the keyboards to a high level, and have a good singing voice. A good rock look would be preferable aswell. If interested, or if you know of anyone who may be interested, drop me a message on here or send a text to 07825334254 and I'll get back to you. My name is Martin Colley and I live in Sheffield. Hope to hear from you soon, whoever you may be!
  6. Several times. The council really should be paying more attention to the underpasses and the pavements, especially on the steep areas and the stepped areas. You'll see a lot of people walking on the road to avoid the icy pavements, this in itself is dangerous. But, what can you do?
  7. I got it yesterday, no worries! Usually you get a confirmation of dispatch, that's why I was slightly worried, but all's well that ends well
  8. Saying that though, there really is no point winding yourself up over it! Nobody is going to be able to stop em, so I guess the only thing to do is just ignore it....(if you can)
  9. I think it is wrong that she is allowed to do so, but I don't suppose there's much you can do to hinder someone who really has no shame doing what she does, bar locking her up in a padded cell, which wouldn't really be the answer. I know what you mean, if I was strolling up the high street with a ghetto-blaster playing Napalm Death at a high volume, it certainly wouldn't be tollerated, and the City Centre Ambassadors would be on their radios to the Police straight away. Double standards.
  10. I think TimmyR is referring to Charity Collectors, not the religious nuts!
  11. That's a fair point, but she tends to walk on, so the interuption is normally only brief!
  12. Has anyone ordered their Download ticket/s through the HMV.com website? If so, have you recieved it/them yet? I'm a little bit worried with it being a week away, and I've not recieved confirmation of dispatch yet...
