  4. Hi There is already a Sheffield Club for the Hard of Hearing which is a social meeting place. My parents have been involved for many years, as my mum has had hearing loss since her 20's. It's current membership is small and mainly older people but that is through circumstance not design. They meet on Monday nights from 6.15 at 105 Grange Crescent, S11 8AZ, which you can get to by car or No 4 Bus (there are other buses but I can't remember the numbers!). They meet for a chat then usually have an activity or Speaker. All members are asked for ideas towards the programme so the club alters dependant on its membership. Their website is http://www.HardofHearingClubSheffield.btck.co.uk, Email JohnVWShef@sky.com or call my Dad, John on 07860 735 360. Hope this helps

  6. Thank you for some of the comments, I only included I was first aid qualified as I know some people would question whether I should I should have given first aid. My qualification was done due to youth work I am involved with & not through work and by a first aid training company. There is a law called "Samaritans Law" which means you can not be sued as long as you act in the best interest of the patient & to the best of your knowledge (even if you have no first aid knowledge).
  7. I was in second car back and gave first aid (yes, i am qualified). Bloke was hit by Taxi at around 21:30. The bloke wasn't drunk before anyone asks. Had report from hospital before I left the scene that he had no major injuries.
  8. Stupid question but where? I looked but when I clicked opening times all I got was info about a closure in June! Lenny
  9. Does anyone know the opening times of the Hutcliffe Wood Garden of Remembrance on a Saturday and Sunday? Thanks
  10. Sainsbury s archer lane has wheelchair you can borrow, either call them from the underneath car park and they will bring one down to you or pop up to the info desk and they will give it to you to bring down. Hope this helps
  11. Hi Bespoke Blinds have had to close their hillsborogh shop but still have one at hutcliffe woods s8. They did me my whole house 5 years ago and are in the midst of doing all my new house. They come out with all the stuff if you can't get to the shop. Both Maxine and Neil are really nice as well, which always helps! Lenny
  12. The road signs are the same as before the road works, it just wasn't painted on the road. As for lorries, ALL LORRIES should be forced to use A61 Meadowhead then Abbey Lane at all times of day. Greenhill Avenue is a C Class Road and NOT constructed to take lorries where as Meadowhead & Abbey are A class roads so can cope with the weight of lorries.
  13. Ooops! Sorry for typo in previous - Company is Alcontrol Laboratories
  14. I would suggest Alcontol Labs in Rotherham. We use these at work for testing water for Haemodialysis. They can do a full metal analysis including Chlorine/Chloramines etc. Hope this helps.
  15. For your information, 11th Sheffield has closed but 59th Sheffield still exists. There is also a company at Banner Cross (8th Sheffield - / Steve (BB Officer - 8th) ---------- Post added 29-11-2012 at 20:40 ---------- http://www.bb8thsheffield.btck.co.uk/ Tried hyperlink again !
