  1. Hey guys, I have one young fantail goldfish to give away to a new home. She/he is about 12cms. Perfectly healthy and lively. I can deliver to sheffield area. Or can come to collect. Pm me.
  2. Hey guys, I have a temperate/ coldwater tank 300L, and currently have 8 Zebra/leopard danios and 6 white cloud minnows. I really would love to have a shoal of Rainbow Shiners, but there doesnt seem to be any available at local fish shops i have visited. Would anyone know of anywhere to aquire these lovely fish?. Asides online where it does infact cost alot to ship them. Or if anyone else has any idea of what else i could keep with these two species, that would be great . Thanks all.
  3. Hi everyone. My sister works for vets 4 pets and a collegue found a beautiful boy wandering around the chesterfield area with his leash attached. He is currently in vets 4 pets surgery in pets at home in kilner way, sheffield. Will be going to the rspca tommorrow. He has a chip but the number doesnt work. He may be from the derby area. He has a bite wound on his shoulder and his collar is too long and was fastened too tight. He is very playful and affectionate. Loves playing ball. He is 5 years old according to the chip and uneutered. They think he is a jack russel cross beagle. He is black, white and tan colored like a beagle. Not sure how to add pictures. But if anyone knows this dog or maybe knows its owners please PM.
  4. Hi everyone, I have about 12-14 Variatus Platy fish to try to rehome, if not all at once, then several at a time, I really dont mind. Nice looking little fish and very easy to look after. They are coldwater/freshwater, as in room temperature. They can be put with other small coldwater fish like Danio's, White Cloud Minnows and even bottom feeders like Butterfly plecs. They are currently upstairs in my spare tank and desperately need a home. A good sized tank for them would be at least 60 Litres, but obviously bigger is better for any fish. I am not asking any money for them, but I dont want any time wasters. Serious interest only please . Please send me an IM on here if you want some. Thanks Picture link. http://s9.postimg.org/fr2s7scn3/WP_20140925_014.jpg
  5. They are cold water Platy's. As in, room temperature but with no heater in the aquarium. They are not tropical, though you can get tropical version of these fish. They do live well with other breed's like Danio's and Butterfly Plecs and White cloud minnows. These babies are from a tank that have all of those species.
  6. Reason for Rehome / Sale Time Scale – How Urgent? Sale Amount Location Approximate size now and full grown size Minimum fish tank size needed Any Current health problems COmpatibility with other fish Beginners, moderate or experienced levels of fishkeeping required Easy to feed Live food, dried food, frozen or fresh herbivore/omnivore/carnivore/ Destructive Behaviour Temperature range Tropical,Coldwater,Marine or Brackish water required General information that you can share Hey there guys! I made a post about these little guys back in July, asking if anyone could take them off my hands. So, not having much luck with that, once again, I still have a shoal of about 14, now bigger beautiful looking Platy's, I will put a gyzo link of the images here, but they are hard to take pics of because they are so fast!. Growing up very well indeed. I don't want any money for them. So if anyone can give these easy to care for fish a home, please respond in IM to me or email crux_corvus@hotmail.com . Thanks. 7. Sorry I did not get a photo of her. But she was all white asides from about three large blotches of tan on her back, very pinkish/white face. Im hoping someone has claimed her by now.
  8. Hey there, Today around 1pm, a little white and tan female staffy was wandering around the Abbey works car park leading into Beeley woods. She was going from person to person trying to fit in and get involved with them, obviously either lost or abandoned or maybe run away, but she has no collar, no ID. Beautiful little girl, can't have been more than a year old. Me and my partner went back to look for her and found her with a family who were trying to find her owner in the woods. We told them we would take her to my Mother in law's which was only across the river on Middlewood Road north. She is very fiesty and friendly, and also very nippy too and play bites. Anyway cut a long story short, after taking her to pets at home vets we managed to find out she has a microchip but its not an up to date one, so it was abit useless. So we were advised to take her to the Sheffield City Council Kennels, where she is now hopefully waiting to be picked up by her owner. So if anyone saw this dog with an owner today at lunchtime or saw any evidence of it being abandoned, or if you are the owner of this cute dog and want her back, please telephone the City kennels on 07817497995. Thank you!
  9. Hi guys, I have a Labrador that i have bought up from puppy with another dog, a little jack russel cross, whom i also bought up from pup. The jack russel cross has always been abit iffy with other dogs, as can sometimes be the way with terriers, but I have always been told that Labradors have a nice temperament naturally. Unfortunately this isnt true for my black lab. She is quite dominant and aggressive to other dogs, and also will bark and run up to people too if they startle her. She has never bitten anyone, but a big black Labrador running up to you barking and somewhat aggressively is scary and i understand it when people yell and get frightened. It makes me despair when she does this because i just want her to get on with other dogs and people. She is very nervous over men especially. But when she gets to know people she really loves them and fusses over them excitedly. She is a lovely dog inside the house to us & friends & relatives, but if someone new comes in she barks alot and seems very nervous. She is very dominant with other dogs and will always approach them tail high and if they dont move like she wants she will growl and snarl. I hate it, I just want my dog to be a nicer dog!. I cant think if its something I and my partner have done to cause this behavior as we have got her from pup. Does anyone know of any really good dog behaviorists or trainers that could help us out in the Sheffield area?. Thank you!.
  10. Ah nvm, just read on Sheffield news website that an injured man was found there at about 5:30am this morning. They don;t know what happened to him yet though.
  11. Anybody know what this was about?. I was traveling towards park way/Derek dooley way about 5:20am and the other side of the road was taped off and blocked by a police car, just before the archway and the junction of Saville Street on that little row of shops heading up to Spital Hill. It was still blocked off when i was on the way home on the bus from town at 9:45ish am. 76 bus had to re route. Hope whatever happened didn't include fatalities :-/. Seems to be getting common nowadays.
  12. Hi!, how big is your spare tank? Have you kept these fish before? :-)
  13. Hi there, A couple of weeks ago my female Varitus Platy fish gave birth to many fry :S. I have been rearing the last 12 I found in the same tank with a seperator so that mum, dad and the other community fish do not eat them. They are growing well and are very fiesty , Although I do not think I could keep all 12 of them, if any of them at all as my 96L is already stocked with 14 individuals. What can I do with these little babies?, is it possible to give them to a petstore?. I would like to keep them but I have no space.
  14. I was thinking about a trelis yes. The fence posts for this fence are on my side, does that mean that fence is mine? I cant remember the rules for it.
  15. Oh damn. I was worried about that. Ive not even been in the house for a year yet, and I really liked that the fences were this high on both sides. But now it seems void on their side as they have created this decking at the back of their garden which ( im sure they wont do but you never know ) they may use to their advantage.
