  1. The issue here is what exactly?
  2. You could actually go talk to them in person. They don't man the phones every second of the day. We have never had issues with speaking with them either in person or over the phone.
  3. Are the Tories going to maintain their initial stance of not campaigning in these elections? One way to hid the fact they are going to get demolished.
  4. I am afraid you will be ruled by it. The number of free cash machines disappearing just keeps accelerating. Most people have a bank account since the vast majority of people have their salaries paid into one. Having a bank card is not onerous at all. If you don't want to carry a physical bank card, you could always use your phone for contactless payments. You'll get left behind and don't expect anyone to bend over backwards for you if you're in the minority.
  5. We as a country have got this backwards. When I visited Slovenia last year they have the mentality of, parking is only allowed in designated areas. If it isn’t a car park, then you’ll get a ticket. It was very straightforward and any idiot can understand. We should have the same here. If there are not signs specifically allowing for parking, then you’re not supposed to.
  6. You can continue clutching at straws. The writing is very evidently on the wall. When this is all over, I’ll gladly gloat and say I told you so.
  7. I was just about to say the same thing. It’s a pointless post. The topic should have been something along the lines of “are we ready for a cashless society?”
  8. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/may/05/labour-mps-say-they-wont-back-a-brexit-deal-without-a-peoples-vote Good news just keeps on coming. The PM is rumoured to capitulate and concede a second referendum. Brexit seems to be over soon.
  9. You really have no idea. Do you know the difference between a peer reviewed scientific paper versus a newspaper. Here is a hint, they are not the same thing.
  10. If you are getting an external drive consider this; https://www.amazon.co.uk/External-Enclosure-included-Virtual-ZM-VE300/dp/B00TDJ4BJU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=iodd+usb+drive&qid=1557102451&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 I have one by Zalman that looks damn near identical and absolutely love it. It a hdd enclosure that is able to emulate being an external optical drive. All you have to do is put the ISO files directly in a specific folder on the drive and it can read them as if they are on an optical disc. You can even boot from it.
  11. The measles vaccination rate IN Russia is hovering around 98%. The vaccination rate in the neighbouring Ukraine for example dropped to below 40% because of a concerted effort by the Russian government to destabilise the country by having trolls question the legitimacy of vaccines. A measles epidemic in a country where it is facing economic hardship is difficult to handle. You can educate yourself by reading the likes of the Lancet. I do question your ability on being able to come to a reasoned and informed opinion if your source is some random person with no credibility on the matter.
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/may/05/john-mcdonnell-pours-cold-water-on-prospects-of-brexit-deal-with-may Thank goodness for this. I saw this as the only feasible avenue to avoid a People’s Vote. With the negotiations slowly dying, I think a second referendum is all but inevitable in order to break the deadlock. Brexiteers have no clout whatsoever in Parliament.
  13. I think their main aim is to be elected and become a disruptive influence within the workings of the EU.
  14. You know what being in opposition means right? The clue is in the word. Not to mention, the overall democratic opinion within the Labour Party is to support a second referendum along with the tendency to remain. So so what you really want to say is, let’s stick with principles but sod democracy.
  15. It has to come down to which will lose you the least or gain the most depending on how you want to look at it. The fact that the remain parties did best at the local elections surely gives Labour enough ammunition to finally get off the fence.
  16. The whole MYTH that the increase in global population is due to an increasing children population needs killing. The global population WILL hit 10 billion. There is absolutely nothing we can do about it. The global population of 2 billion children is the highest it will ever be. The increasing global population is due to increase in life expectancy. In other words, it is old people not dying fast enough. The real problem here is to find a way for our planet to support 10 billion people and not some absurd idea of suppressing global population by not having children.
  17. But it isn’t. So how is it my problem?
  18. Why do you need medical qualifications to work out vaccination rates or spread? You need a statistician/mathematician. Shouldn’t blame vaccinations when the parents’ genetic makeup is at fault. There is no link between vaccines and autism. To put it another way, autism didn’t exist fifty years ago?
  19. If the justice system can ensure that the falsely accused are not punished in any way then we won't need this. It can't so all evidence wherever it may be needs to be searched for.
  20. The livelihoods of the thousands of citizens in the UK simply takes priority and to put it bluntly, quite rightly so.
  21. Agree with the sentiment here. No point voting for the party you want if they never have a chance of getting in. I will go for the party best placed to defeat an incumbent if I no longer support them.
  22. You need more educating. The London Clearing House which is responsible for over 900 Billion Euros PER DAY of transactions is what is at risk. The European Central Bank in 2011 tried to take control of clearing of Euro denominated transactions from London. But the LSE defence hinged on the fact that it would discriminate no-euro EU countries. Guess what, we can’t use that defence anymore once we leave and all that business leaves. How much is 900 billion euros per day in the grand scheme of things? THREE QUARTERS of the GLOBAL market for these transactions. The LSE absolutely own this. But they risk losing it all.
  23. So what can the U.K. do in retaliation? Oh yes, we’ll cut off the financial services the EU is already moving to continental Europe. Oh right. About that 🤨
  24. Oh, I don’t know. Maybe a punitive trade war between us and the world’s largest economic bloc? The EU can fight a trade war with the US. They will crush us if they wanted to.
  25. Ok, people like you need educating before you spout statements that make no sense. So here is a free lesson. “International law is superior to domestic legislation” So the U.K. is legally obliged to fulfil its commitments as contracted. Parliament can say whatever it wants but it carries no weight in this instance. Think about that and then come back.
