  1. I'm sure that will bolster Labours chances with the middle classes.
  2. Yes totally trivial. So trivial we had better blow it up a bit in case others miss it. 1400 girls over many years not in the space of a few weeks. Don't try and twist the facts to make it appear as if a mass rape army has been operating on the streets of Rotherham. By the way you probably missed that this wasn't 1400 rapes. It was 1400 girls who were often raped many times each. Some by a dozen men in one night. By any standards that is a massive massive amount of sexual abuse and you seek to trivialize it. You harm Rotherham more than you help it because it is clear that many round here are still in denial. Just what planet are you from? Are you auditioning for the job of Beacon of Hope for Rotherham?
  3. Yes I'll remember that. I'll dig out the raspberries from on top and check the ones underneath. I'm sure that will improve the produce for the other customers. The only problem with that idea is I'd end up with bright red sticky fingers which isn't a great look and nor does it make you any friends when you go to a clothes stand.
  4. I've bought punnets of raspberries in the market in the past and found the ones at the bottom were mouldy and had been covered with fresh ones stuck on top.
  5. Its just a thought but do you think they've missed the fact that Israel is the 7th largest arms producer in the world. They will run out of arms about the same time that Italy runs out of icecream and Lybia runs out of sand.
  6. Westminster is a large district. I have no doubt there are some in Tower Hamlets as well.
  7. I suppose it sheds light on why Sheffield Half Marathon had no water. If folk don't turn up to provide the service they contracted to provide. Whoever was supplying the beer tent for the festival didn't show. Someone else could have provided a beer tent but it was already contracted to the person who didn't show hence no beer tent. Perhaps they need to contract the beer tent to someone who shows up.
  8. Lets hope the organisers and council take into consideration the folk who did and didn't meet their obligation when it comes to future events. I've done contract work for the council and you need to get on an approved contractors list. If you get removed from it there is a devil of a job getting back on.
  9. Well actually we put quite a lot of effort into going to the festival and drove rather a long way to get there. Yes the organisers put in a lot of effort too. What a pity a few more of those who had stalls booked didn't make the same effort. Had there been a few more of them we would have stayed rather longer and spent rather more money, but you can't buy what isn't there. Actually by early afternoon the weather wasn't bad at all. But that's not really much use if you are in an empty field. Here's a picture of the Gigantic festival. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201340311788281&set=a.3914627282632.1073741825.1787963538&type=1&theater The stalls are those things you can see in the distance. Here's another of the classic cars. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201340309868233&set=a.3914627282632.1073741825.1787963538&type=1&theater
  10. I'm not surprised the stalls that turned up did well. There were so few of them that the visitors who turned up didn't have too many options. You bought a foot long hot dog, a cake from the Russian baker, or the jerk chicken. That was about the total of the options. I didn't have a beer because I didn't find the beer tent. I watched 2 minutes of wrestling but then got intimidated by the amount of staffy "attack dogs" which seemed to outnumber stalls. So after half an hour we were gone. I know the weather didn't help, but there should have been something for the folk who braved the elements to support the event.
  11. As was shown many times the arab dictators have had little compunction in using WMDs against there own civilian populations. Or was it the opposition in Syria that was using WMDs against thetre neighbors? Anyhow Saddam certainly used nerve gas against the Kurds.
  12. But like you said he isn't as daft as he makes himself out to be. George bush was. Boris has a 2.1 from Oxford which isn't too shabby. So he's not a bit like Sarah Paylin who is as thick as a plank.
  13. We were very disappointed. We made the effort to attend but the stallholders didn't. The 100 metre row of classic cars had 4 exhibits and one of those was a wreck. We bought food from 2 of the half dozen stall that were there. It took 10 minutes to see everything that was available and then cleared off. There were just rows and rows of pegged out pitches with nothing on them. This is a chicken and egg thing. If the exhibitors can't be bothered turning up there isn't really much incentive for the punters that do turn up to hang around, and even less incentive for them to make the effort in future. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201340309868233&set=a.3914627282632.1073741825.1787963538&type=1&theater You might need to log on to Facebook to see the photo.. Not sure. ---------- Post added 11-08-2014 at 16:05 ---------- We liked your bus by the way.

The UK imports more goods from Russia than it exports. From 2001-11 UK goods and services imports from Russia rose by just over 270%, while exports to Russia rose by 430%. In 2013 Russia was the second biggest export destination, outside of the EU, for cars built in the UK - accounting for 9.5% of all vehicle exports. The UK also supplies business and financial services, worth almost £1.7bn in 2011. China is the 3rd on the list of countries selling to the UK. Over £25 billion last year. Israel doesn't even rank a listing.
  15. There are a lot of parellels with 1992. Going into the election Labour had a consistent poll lead of anything up to 6 points. They also had a leader who had the charisma of a pilchard. In the election John Major (another leader without too much flair) led the Tories to a 7 point victory. I'm not sure what effect UKIP will have. My instinct tells me they will ride high in the polls but then poll badly as the voters who said they were going to protest didn't. That's the usual thing when it comes to a GE.
