That's pretty much what 5th Gear does and they get an average audience of 142,000. But that probably includes the ones in nursing homes where the TV is left running all day. Clarkson has been sacked from Top Gear previously and went off to make his speed videos. The BBC brought him back after 3 years when the show had gone down the pan.

There are programs on other channels that do that. They get rather less viewers than the 5.4 million average who watch Top Gear. It might well happen that JC JM and RH leave and move to another channel where they revive their lunacy in one of these other programs, and the BBC do start doing shows about Citroen Picassos. If that happens I suspect that most current Top Gear viewers will change over to their prefered formula and the few who watched the other channel will switch to the BBC.

I think it is what mates do. I suspect that should Clarkson jump ship and move to another channel the reason for their decision will become apparent.

I doubt it will make much difference anyhow. I suspect JC will move to another channel. He will take Hammond and May with him as well as most of the 5.4 million viewers who watch each episode.

I think a lot of folk assume those on zero hours contracts are not happy with the arrangement. I know a couple of retired fireman who were put out to grass aged 55. They enjoy liesure activities but also work zero hours contracts for a funeral director. They are only needed as pallbearers when there is a funeral, but rather like the freedom of picking and choosing which days they work.
