  1. Take a look at this........ "Pink Bunny" lat=44.2444765797, lon=7.77004328645 Copy and paste into google earth and hit fly to.
  2. Snake Pass is fine............but once you get to Glossop it's one hell of a bottle neck getting to the motorway. Definately a non starter as far as I'm concerned.
  3. There's one on Barnsley Road at Pitsmoor............Presses the button to let one child cross. Then, immediately presses the button again before even getting fully back on the pavement!! The queue of traffic in a morning goes all the way back to Firvale.
  4. Just checked out Shell Island's website. http://www.shellisland.co.uk/shell/camp/camp.htm Prices are £6 per person per night....£2-50 per child per night. Seems expensive to me, considering there is very little amenities. Just one central toilet and shower block.
  5. Hi Spock..... Meta Keywords are used by some search engines to determine what your pages are about and to rank them. Other search engines such as Google do not take keywords into account. Copied this from vBulletin ACP. Prove me wrong please.
  6. It would help if you gave us an idea of which part of the UK you are interested in visiting. There's thousands of sites out there. Give us the area, and I'll come up with somewhere.
  7. If you find the answer....please let me know. Keywords work with some search engines...but Google no longer look at keywords. Getting other websites to link to you, and offering reciprocal links back is helpful. The Admin Zone is useful place for hints and tips.... http://www.theadminzone.com/index.php One things for sure....it ain't easy.
  8. Nope......they are there to annoy people. It must be a real satisfying job going around painting them...better than a traffic warden, lol.
  9. Don't know about the fair....but it's bouncing down with rain at the moment!
  10. I know a few campers that use the aluminium builders tressles, but of course you do need a car. They are reasonably light to carry, and double up as seat. B&Q sell them for around £20.
  11. I've just emailed a link to this page to my Daughter, being fathers day and all that.
  12. I've always (with a few exceptions, lol) found that when I have actually met people after talking on the forums....they are usually as I imagined.
  13. I did that way back in '67.....can still smelll that bread now. Happy memories.
  14. We used to play up there as kids in the 60's. I remember crossing the white bridge and going up the grass hill beyond.....and sliding back down on old cardbox boxes. My Dad's Grandma is burried in the cemetary. I remember spending hours looking for the grave with mi dad, but we never found it.
  15. 2 teachers get my vote........ Firth Park Grammar School in the sixties. Spike Johnson.....History. I don't think there was a kid in school that didn't respect him. Brilliant story-teller. Lived well into his nineties. Mr. Harrison....Science. He just new how to teach and made his lessons interesting. I remember he was a fan of the "Goon shows" and would bring his old "78" records into class at the end of term.
  16. The nearest commercial site I know of to Sheffield is on Lodge Lane which runs from Manchester Road to Lodge Moor. If you go up Rivelin Valley Road from Malin Bridge to Rivelin Post Office...turn left, then immediately right...the site is on your right.
  17. Just tried to post a link to the school website.....but apparently I'm still a newbie....Lol. Discovered since, someone else has posted one ( page 11..Brushes building). I agree with the comments on the other thread.....what a great carbuncle has been stuck in it's place!
  18. Hi , I was at Firth Park in the days when it was a Grammar School. 1962...to 1967.
