Go to the White House. There's a lot of foam coming out of Trump's mouth.

I had my ears syringed in 1996 and tore a calf muscle playing football in 2000. I'd guess having your ears syringed doesn't make having an accident any more or less likely.

Conservative-led Surrey County Council plans 15% council tax hike
LeMaquis replied to iansheff's topic in General Discussions
I believe about 100% of your brainpower goes towards posting crap on here. ---------- Post added 20-01-2017 at 18:46 ---------- Council Tax makes up about a sixth of council expenditure. Without identifying that ratio your claim is meaningless. A certain percentage of an unidentified amount could mean anything. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/316772/LGFS24_web_edition.pdf -
Merkel warns Trump against ' protectionism' policies

China will be surprised to know it's the world's largest economy. -
A lack of evidence that they're true does not mean they've been disproved. Some of the news organisations that didn't publish them months ago chose not to do so because they were pro-Trump. At the moment the allegations are there to be proven or disproved but they have not been shot down in flames as you have claimed.

Tour de Yorkshire 2017 - finishes in Sheffield

Not like you to be so anti-car. Do you work for SCC? -
You're claiming the stories about Trump are being shot down in flames but have provided no evidence. Maybe like Trump you can dish it out but can't take it. Which is called hypocrisy.

Trump spent years denying that Obama had been born in the USA. What comes around etc.

Is that "Don't. Use public transport instead" or "Don't use public transport instead"? I suspect you meant the former but put the latter. -
Trump's going to build a wall to keep them out of the USA.

Yes. Shame on children, disabled people and pensioners for not propping up the NHS.

Armed police hillsbrough roads closed 07/01/2017

Before you post crap on here do some research. Armed police would only turn up to cases of shoplifting, traffic accidents, parking offences, etc, if there has been a report of someone carrying an arm and a designated officer authorisers an officer trained in the use of arms to take one to the incident. For example; "Within each police force, there is a group of specially trained officers who are authorized to carry firearms. The carrying of firearms must be authorized by a specially designated officer. In 2011–12 the number of authorized firearms officers was 6,756, approximately 5% of the total force". http://www.eliteukforces.info/police/CO19/ https://www.loc.gov/law/help/police-weapons/uk.php In 2012 Dale Cregan shot two unarmed police officers dead in Manchester after they had been called to a burglary. "The shootings will inevitably spark a debate about whether police should have greater personal protection. "They now routinely carry CS or pepper spray, and Tasers are also widely available. However, it seems there's little appetite for routinely arming the police. A Police Federation survey, conducted in 2006, of 47,000 officers found that 82% were opposed to the idea". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-19635239 ---------- Post added 08-01-2017 at 19:57 ---------- And from last May; "A national shortage of armed police is leaving Britain vulnerable to terror attack, the Police Federation of England and Wales has said. "Officers are not volunteering to carry guns because they fear being "hung out to dry" and treated like a suspect if they discharge their weapon, the federation claimed." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/police-federation-sends-warning-over-shortage-of-firearms-officers-a7030966.html -

There are also reports that Earth is flat and was created by a god. Back in the real world armed police only respond to armed incidents or protect sensitive areas like airports. They are specially trained to use arms and don't give out parking tickets or deal with accidents; http://www.eliteukforces.info/police/CO19/ -

No doubt the OP will be back soon to explain why he thought there were armed police there. -
Yes. They could resort to speeding, going through red lights, mortgage fraud and tax evasion like you do. ---------- Post added 30-12-2016 at 09:17 ---------- How do you make that out? The article said he parked there for 5 hours without paying. He had 4 hours of free parking and wasn't ticketed for another hour after that. He could have gone out any time and paid the parking fare. And it was only £25. People like him should just stop whingeing and follow the rules.

You ought to work in the tourism industry. I'd advise the OP not to drive. The coach is better than driving if you want to get stuck in London traffic. It's frequent and a lot cheaper than the train. As for things to see, after you've got migraine from the central London sights try the outer London greenery of Hampstead Heath (Hampstead tube), Richmond Park (Richmond tube or rail), Greenwich Park and Blackheath (Greenwich DLR) and Epping Forest (Theydon Bois or Snaresbrook tube).

The FTSE is high because of the fall in value of sterling. A lot of FTSE 100 companies are foreign and are valued in foreign currencies which now buy more sterling due to its weakness. Try again. ---------- Post added 28-12-2016 at 19:55 ---------- "Michael Gove, a leading Brexit campaigner, has renewed his argument that economic experts need to be challenged and defended the Vote Leave slogan from the referendum campaign, saying that the NHS will get £350m a week after the UK leaves the EU." We both agree Gove is a moron;. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/dec/28/brexit-campaigner-michael-gove-defends-nhs-funding-pledge

Arctic Monkeys In Sheffield, Anyone seen any?

I saw four at the Arena about 7 years ago. -
You're talking crap. You claimed HS2 was originally supposed to be for Sheffield City region. The government options included Meadowhall and Sheffield city centre, both Midland and a new Victoria Station. Meadowhall was favoured first largely due to geography but after intervention from Sheffield CC that preference was changed to a city centre location. Therefore there was no HS2 supposed to be for SCR fact. There was a list of possibilities which all have advantages and disadvantages based on cost, speed, economic benefits, geography, etc. If you weren't so anal you'd be able to see that. ---------- Post added 27-12-2016 at 09:01 ---------- You're talking crap too. Barnsley Council wants HS2 at Meadowhall because Barnsley would get more economic benefit out of that than if HS2 went to Sheffield city centre. Sheffield city centre would clearly benefit from HS2 coming there. The extent of that benefit can be debated but having a new station at Victoria would clearly bring jobs and investment to that area. If you can't understand that then I pity you.
