Closed due to a RTA.Â
Don't think it was as there were no ambulances or damaged vehicles. A police officer said they were "testing the road surface". An unmarked police car then kept going up and down from the crossing at the bottom of the water wall to the crossing at top end as if it really was testing the road surface. The surface looked no different to usual so what they were testing for I couldn't say.

.....it costs America millions of Dollars each year for its space programme .....Â
Millions? NASA's budget this year is nearly $20 billion.

He died without a funeral plan in place so his family just used a coffin they'd made earlier.

Third, my first parliamentary campaign - one in which I did not spend a single penny - was, by comparison, an astounding success. I will become an MP one day, watch this space!Â
You got 6.3%. A year ago the UKIP candidate got 20% and 2 years ago 22.1%. If you consider 6.3% an outstanding success then you probably think that getting 10% will make you king of the world.
Â
Fifth, I have already requested, and received, the help of my new MP.....Â
If I were you I'd ask one of your UKIP councillors to get you a support worker.

Maybe they are trying to tell you that you are barking up the wrong tree.Â
You don't need the last 4 words of that sentence.

The women are having to clear up the mess made by the men.Â
By calling a completely unnecessary election and losing her majority.
-
....Citizens Advice who suggested I contact......my MP......Â
It appears that Leeds is my nearest High Court.
NOW, does anyone have a contact number or even an email for this High Court?
Â
Ironic since you have just failed to become your own MP. Perhaps the voters of Brightside & Hillsborough were put off by your not being able to use google.

Back in the real world.Â
Latest yougov poll has literally twice as many people planning to vote Conservative as Labour. I'm not kidding it's actually a factor of 2: 48% to 24%
http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/blog/archives/category/voting-intention
Â
ICM polls from the day before indicate 44% to 26.
Â
If the Conservatives actually get 50% of the vote, will their democratic right to govern and to implement Brexit finally be recognised.
I'm sure there will be some excuse to declare them illegitimate. Tough though. Best start working on it now.
Â
Whatever happened to the real world?

Roberts didn't even get voted Celtic's player of the season. That went to Scott Sinclair who not many are calling to get into the England squad;

Or May was 2,227 votes away from not having to get into bed with the DUPÂ
You'd have to feel sorry for anyone having to get into bed with Arlene Foster.

..Corbyn has improved the prospects of his party by bribery!Â
Did he promise £350 million more every week for the NHS?
-
Good decision to bring back Grammar Schools.Â
Good decision to take the Tories' majority off them meaning that May's wish to introduce more grammar schools has failed its 11 plus.

80% SNP
63% Sinn Fein
47% Plaid Cymru
45% DUP
Â
I'll have to move.

seems to be a problem area to me,i thought that area was a nice area to live.Â
If only it were as nice as Lowedges.

It is sad that so many people take their own lives through it,i think most people who have been in loud environments suffer with it.Music is what did me,being close to guitar amps at a high volume and lots of rock concerts and night clubs didnt help.Â
Sad story about Inspiral Carpets drummer, Craig Gill, killing himself after 20 years of tinnitus.

"A UKIP MEP could face bankruptcy after she failed to pay damages to three MPs over remarks she made about the Rotherham child abuse scandal.
Â
"Jane Collins was told to pay £358,000 in damages and costs in February after being sued for libel and slander.
Â
"But, she appeared in court in Hull earlier on Monday after failing to pay.
Â
"A spokeswoman for Ms Collins said after the hearing that she will face bankruptcy proceedings if it is found that she cannot make the payments owed".
Â
And she'll be out of a job in 2 years on top;

Local authority house building was plagued by stupid union rules like 'one trade one job' so it took five different trades to change a house door.Consequently council house building came to a full stop and the departments were closed down.Â
Hard drugs alert.

Can anybody work out how much the pound's value/worth has diminished since, say 1970 ?Â
It hasn't diminished at all. It's still worth 16 ounces.

It holds so many happy memories as a kid, standing outside waiting for my mam,dad and uncle to come out. Unfortunatelymy uncle was knocked down outside the Tavern.Â
HAPPY DAYS.
Â
Parents drinking in there while their kids waited outside.
Â
Uncle getting knocked down.
Â
Yes. Happy memories. Happy days.

Good luck with that :hihi:Â
Labour will still have plenty, plenty, plenty more than UKIP who at least don't have any seats to lose.
-
Which leads me to the question, how many seats will Labour have?Â
There are two options each for 220 and 240 and none for 325.

It's high time Julie Dore resigned, but if she hasn't the inclination, it's time we kicked her and rest of her cronies out.Â
And how do you propose doing that if you live in High Peak?

All such shops are by law CLOSED on Easter Sunday, as on Xmas day.Â
(Just so's you know)
Â
Spar on Ecclesall Road was on open on Christmas Day.
Â
Just so's you know.

Your right about one thing: 20 years ago there wouldn't have been any complaints ...........reason being, Kids didn't do then what they do now.
Â
Really? I used to cycle downhill with my arms crossed and do a 90 degree right turn trying to stay upright. Another wheeze was to go straight out into a road without looking and see how many adults shouted at us. This was back in the 60s.

There's a bus to Swinton and then a train but the direct buses to the station are only every 30 minutes. Or you can get a bus to Rotherham but that will be slow. You could though get a Rotherham bus and get off at the top of Swinton and walk for 5-10 minutes down to the station.
Â
Going the other way there are loads of buses to Wombwell but the train station is a good 15 minute walk from the stops there. Trains are half hourly. The 72/ 72a though goes to Hemingfield which is nearer but they're only hourly.
Â
If you can't cycle to one of the railway stations I'd say Swinton's your best bet but Wath's not positioned for good commuting to Meadowhall.
