  1. Thanks again for all the help much appreciated - the decking is looking a bit tired so I think I need to clean it first as mentioned then apply a stain rather than an oil - I assume the oils are more subtle? Maybe I'm just over thinking this too much! ---------- Post added 15-03-2016 at 14:22 ---------- If you think that's funny then check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Bg586-wl38
  2. cheers the help - any ideas on products though?
  3. Hi All, Recently moved house and in our lovely new garden there is a lot of decking - I have no idea regards maintenance and the previous owner was pretty vague. There are a few boards that need replacing and the whole area needs re staining. So can anyone explain the best process for cleaning and then staining and maybe even which product to buy as the choice seems endless? Thanks in advance
  4. yes it was penis tone road - just crawled pretty much from the end of my road all the way to city centre - I think I've just been spoilt for too long having lived in meersbrook with a 10 min quick trip into town anytime of the morning!
  5. Thanks for all the advice - I am thinking of getting a scooter next year so the wife and little-un can have the car anyways - will also try the train and parking on station road option. I left at 7:25 this morning and it still took just under an hour!
  6. So far tried Penistone road, Shirecliffe and M1 - will try sat nav tip!
  7. need to be in at the latest 9am but can do earlier if needs be - sleep is a premium at the mo with a 4 week old!
  8. yeah the train is an option but I've moved right up the top so its a bit of trek down and then back up - does anyone know any quick car routes - or is it just leave crazy early to avoid the main bulk of traffic?
  9. Sorry I meant to say in car - but would consider other options
  10. Just moved to Burncross and struggling with the commute to town every morning, its taking nearly an hour every time ( I lived in meersbrook before!!) anyone got any tips/routes to make it less painful?
  11. Seriously.....the only detail you're giving is..... Dave. Maybe the company he works for or some form of contact detail may be a good idea so he can actually take advantage of this recommendation from you!
  12. Not sure about Sheffield but Yorkshire:
  13. I have a megane 2006 1.4. A while back I had revving on idle and juddering on acceleration issues (especially from hill starts), took it to various garages with no luck as it didn’t trigger a code on the computer to pull up a warning light. Anyway finally found someone who knew what they were doing and it turned out to be a combination of one of the coil packs going and the throttle housing needing to be replaced (apparently very common with meganes). I thought all was well but since then the juddering returned and I noticed I had a coolant leak. Turned out to be yet another coil pack and a leaky water pump – also had the timing belt changed at the same time as it was well over due and apparently just in time as well – so if yours is 5 years or 70000 miles since last timing belt change maybe another thing to consider. Take my advice and get rid asap
  14. Yes of course, just pointing out the quoted comment was pointless! And Ha3el has hit the nail on the head - if they want her they will accept a portfolio she has created on her own terms!
