  1. I walked home! I think I realised when I got to Bramall Lane that things were missing. Just hoping that someone with a bit of decency has found them but I'm not too optimistic - When I tried tho phone my mobile it went straight to voicemail... Thanks for wishing me well
  2. Hi folks During an incredibly messy night last night, somewhere between Corp and my house, I have managed to lose my mobile phone (Xperia Z3 Compact), debit card, passport and two SUFC match tickets. I still have my wallet though, so not quite the full house If anyone has found anything, please give me a shout. I'll be amazed if I ever see any of this stuff again but it's worth a shot
  3. Well i know for a fact that the company i work for were looking to open in Sheffield recently (about 6 months ago) but in the end they decided not to. Presumably because of the non existent quality retail space! Maybe they might be tempted by the proposed new units - it all sounds very promising to me anyway, especially now that you can actually see work being done. I walked up Fargate, round the top of Pinstone Street and through Orchard square earlier today and i thought "wouldn't it be great if The Moor were brought up to this standard". I was really surprised at how busy it was and the christmas markets were a nice touch i thought. The nice atmosphere also encouraged me to open my wallet for once Once The Moor's finished, all we've got to do is flatten Meadowhall and we'll be well away....
  4. I can understand why it sounds like "oooo aaahhhh" The pronunciation of the "g" and the "n" would be a bit difficult to hear coming from 20,000 people i would think.... hence why "goooowahhhhn" sounds like "oooowahhhh" to people darn sarf (you might not agree with me putting "ahhhn" instead of "onnn" but if you say it as if you were at the match cheering the lads on, then the "o" suddenly turns into an "a")
  5. Whatever you say fella.... Like i said previously, Ched will be on nowhere near what he's on now if he decides to stay, and neither will Williamson for that matter. McCabe expexts the club to stand on it's own two feet within a few years... NOT straight away - that would be a ridiculous and unachievable (without seriously damaging the club's on-field health) target. We'll see what happens in the summer
  6. I think the vast majority of footballers are out just to make money - as you've just said. But i disagree that there are no footballers that want to enjoy their job. We will see in the summer anyway, i've a feeling he will stay but i'm by no means confident.
  7. I couldn't quite believe what i was reading. As you can tell by my post count i don't spend much time on here. So if you were being serious you need a doctor (and a pretty good one) and if you're a WUM... well, you still need a doctor
  8. United WILL NOT keep him on 20k a week. Wilson has already stated that any new contract would have to be on reduced terms. There is a possibility he will take a pay cut to stay as he says he wants to stay and is enjoying his football. He also rates the manager. That's why i mentioned job satisfaction in my previous post. Note that i don't think he's staying for definite - i just reckon there's a decent chance of him doing so.
  9. Christ Almighty!! Only a wendnesdayite could spout off like this! What on earth has KARMA got to do with the current situation!!?? Charlton have earned the right to play in the league above, and it's looking like we'll do the same - That will mean we are the BEST two teams in the league so we deserve to have a fair crack at the league above. There is a fair chance that we will keep Evans - the man himself says he wants to stay. Job satisfaction would be a major factor in any decision to stay i think. Plus, we WILL strengthen in the summer if we're promoted - we won't be spending millions but there is plenty of quality to be had in the lower leagues. Stop looking for any excuse as to why we shouldn't go up. It is still probable that you'll go up too whether you pip us to second or go up through the play offs. SO STOP WINGING.
  10. Don't think any of the teams left in the Champions League deserve to win it because they haven't beaten the super fantastic Charlton. Reckon they should replace Barca with Leyton Orient as a wildcard - they're obviously at least the second best team in England because they beat the 3rd division's top team. Note: Just after you lost to County at home, we went to their place to put 5 past 'em. I've said this before, but swings and roundabouts. I suspect i won't draw a reply from you as you're only here to try and wind people up! Sad pass time, but each to their own i guess
  11. Evans vs Madine is a non-starter. It's like comparing a block of gold with a lump of iron ore. Stop fooling yourselves, Owls fans. "oh but the last two seasons blah blah blah". Since when has washing machine played at championship level? Keep the comparison fair (BOTH in league one. BOTH playing for a successful team) and you can't really deny that Evans casts a huge shadow over his "counterpart" (stretch that word to it's limit) Ched is a confidence player who needed the right manager to give him the belief in his own ability. Now he has, and the difference in his play is unbelievable. If Wednesday fans saw him play week in week out they would see that he is a complete footballer. His touch is brilliant, he goes past players AND he sets goals up as well as scoring them - he has 8 assists in the league now (which is equal to wednesday's TOP player for assists, and eclipses madine's 1 assist). Evans and Rhodes are the stand out strikers in this league. I have every confidence that both will go on prove themselves in the championship and maybe higher. I just hope Ched is with us next season, because the man just oozes quality.
  12. Demolish it. The city centre will suffer while ever the place still stands.
  13. Ridgeway is a quality little place and is probably where i'd move if i wanted to get away from it all. It's slap bang in the middle of valley so you get a very secluded feel. There's some brilliant scenery as well as lots of old stone buildings. However, i can never understand why it's classed as Derbyshire! You start off at the top of Basegreen and go along High Lane. Once you pass The Pheonix pub you're in Derbyshire, but then as soon as you pass the Rdgeway Arms you're back in Sheffield!? Right now i live in Basegreen and i love it. Friendly people, family and friends live nearby, lots of boozers nearby and great transport links. There are also a fair amount of fields (to play footy) and woods so it's not a concrete jungle either. I'm only 19 so i'm nowhere near ready to move to a quiet area. Oh, and a note for any cyclists. "Ford Road" that goes from Marsh Lane right down into Ridgeway has got to be the most ridiculously steep and dangerous road to go down in Sheffield. The only thing stopping you from breaking the sound barrier is fear There's a nice surprise at the bottom, too
