  1. The cat looks very similar to my mums cat, lost from the other side of Graves park about 5 weeks ago. Mums cat had a red collar though, could have come off? She is elderly and doesn't do social media so I will contact her and try and find a way for her to see the photo asap.
  2. I drove through the bus gate going towards town on the 21st thinking it was suspended, I didn't see any signs to say it was closed in this direction. I have been fined £60. There is a sign up now as mentioned. I am going to appeal as it really wasn't clear. Fine if you know the bus gate is suspended one way because of the bridge repairs but I have only just become aware of this, not a route I use.
  3. Any income I earn is taken away from my income support, if I earn over £100 I loose carers allowance. You only get carers allowance if the person you care for is on the higher need care rate and needs full time support so like a lot of carers I am stuck for now as full time employment or even a job that would allow me to get tax credits is not an option.
  4. I receive £58 per week carers allowance and £32 per week income support, that is my total income, I pay the part of my mortgage not covered by income support, gas, electric, water, food, travel to my child who is disabled every day, hairdressers, clothes, other essentials, repairs to my home out of that money (total £91 pw) now I have to find another £4.50 pw for council tax, where from? somebody please work it out for me. I got the bill yesterday so it is right.
  5. yes, not chipped as I expected. I have also spoken to the council who have told me that I have no choice but to hand him in to the pound, they have granted me untill 8.30pm tonight (pound closes at 9) to find owner so not looking good.
  6. I found a young male staffy yesterday just off halifax road, any chance it could be your friends? ---------- Post added 18-03-2013 at 15:51 ---------- sorry just seen that your friends is a female.
  7. yes will keep you updated, I will do whatever I can to make sure he is ok
  8. Ahh..was going to double check tomorrow as didn't sound right, I will ring tomorrow to make sure they have all the info in case owner is looking for him
  9. Does sound like the same dog and yes re the scar, he is nervous but very loving, asleep on the sofa at the moment as close to me as he can get without sitting on my knee, he's eaten and been for a walk so all is well with his world right now. Will get him scanned but don't hold out much hope.
  10. Yes I will get it scanned, I am really hoping someone comes forward before a trip to the pound is taken. I've put it on Dogslost and given description to 101. I don't want to give a description out on the forum, if anyone thinks they may know the dog if you pm please.
  11. My son has been adopted by a young Staffy, Chaucer Close area (S5) he rang me and asked me to ring the dog warden which I did and was directed to ring 101. I was told that the dog warden no longer picks up strays and it is up to us to either leave the dog or take it in. I thought it may be just weekends that this happened but was told that there is no dog warden anymore? Anyway I have brought it home so now in Hillsborough, if you have lost a Staffy or know anyone who has please contact me with details.

  13. You could have a go at drying your own, late raspberries are out now so you could even forage for some! How to Dehydrate Raspberries: 1. Wash, and dry (gently pat dry). 2. Remove stems from raspberries. 3. Dehydrate raspberries at 100 degrees (F) takes approximately 10 hours. (Dehydrate until brittle.) 4. Store dried raspberries in a clean, dry, airtight container, in a cool dark location. (Light can cause discoloration)
