  1. Hi tradrockgirl. If you're still interested, there is a club in Broomhill who would be glad to accommodate any women who want to return to the game. There is also a junior section if that is useful to you. Let me know if this is of any use, and I will provide further details.
  2. PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON SHEFFIELD’S ‘GREAT OUTDOORS’ As the greenest city in England - including one third of the Peak District National Park – when in Sheffield you are never far from parks, woodland or countryside. Please help us to assess the importance of Sheffield's 'Great Outdoors' to you and your family by completing this quick survey. This is part of a wider study being undertaken by SIRC on behalf of Sheffield City Council to assess the value of Sheffield’s outdoor economy. This survey is for everybody to complete - whether you participate in outdoor recreational activities or not - please just share your views with us. It will only take 2 minutes of your time and will really help us to quantify the importance of outdoor recreation to Sheffielders - and to other local people who work or frequently visit Sheffield. Your responses are confidential and will only be used for this research. You will only be contacted if you are the prize winner. The deadline for survey completion is Friday 30th May. Sheffield Outdoor Recreation Survey Link Please help us to share this survey more widely by using social media to forward the link to any friends, family members or colleagues who live or work in Sheffield!
  3. Please look out for details of the Sheffield Outdoor Recreation Survey, coming soon to the Sheffield Discussions page on the forum. We are keen to hear from as many different groups of people who use Sheffield open spaces for sport and leisure as possible, including cyclists. By completing the survey, you will be supporting the Council's work to develop the city's outdoor economy, and you will be entered into a draw to win £100.

  6. There is evidently no pleasing some people. Yes it was a bit awkward at times, and my kids drove me mad asking when the torch would be going past, but in years to come they will be able to say they were there, and we have the photos to prove it. Worth every penny (and yes, I know it was free admission - that's kind of my point). Biggest crowds of the relay so far. Something for the city to be proud of. A bit like Seb Coe. 31 days and counting. BRING. IT. ON.
  7. I would like to see a genuine delicatessen in Crookes. Something which offers genuine variety and choice. Keeps everyone on their toes. Better that than another off licence.
