Been here more than a few times now, usually on a Tuesday evening after work as its quite local to my office, the food and service has always been excellent. Good variety of dishes, and the owner is always happy to accomodate requests for slight variations on them. Will be visiting again very soon -

Making flavoured (and hopefully more alcoholic) vodka!

Oh and it wont make it stronger... however as you dont need a mixer, you tend to drink it neat... and you drink a lot more of it... almost the same effect -

Frosties the cereal ?.. Ive never thought about trying breakfast foods... maybe just have a bowl of them and substitute the milk for vodka Sour skittles works perfectly well, the next time I have a house party, im going to make a bottle of each individual skittle flavour, so then rainbow shots are in order... In normal skittles its only the green ones that need to go.. the purple ones give it a lovely colour. I've only ever made one fruit vodka, a raspberry and vanilla bean vodka, it takes a lot longer... mine took around 6 months, and you need a guaranteed airtight jar, if any air at all gets in, the fruit will go mouldy... so no opening it up to check... you can tell its ready when the fruit has gone really pale and white.... The other danger is its actually rather good, the entire bottle disappeared one cold winters evening, never to be seen again. The grade of vodka actually matters very little, id avoid the stuff in bottles without labels / just with a barcode, as im pretty sure its just petrol or paint thinners.. but I use whatever tends to be on offer when im making a batch. Red square, Glenns, Imperial all make perfectly good vodka sweetie infusions, the extra sugar and filtering tends to give them all pretty much the same finish.. Id recommend smirnoff or similar for a fruit based vodka though. -

As a rule, boiled sweets work better than other types, especially anything that contains sherbert, and hydrogenated vegetable fats ( skittles for example ).. these usually require filtering, I use a wine filtering system, but plain filter papers, or even plain coffee filter papers are sufficient to dispose of the scum. Most sweeties take between 3 and 7 days to completely dissolve, shaking once or twice a day... chocolate vodkas can be done in a few hours., then some time to chill, but require some fiddly preparation... After eights were a great success... wham bars and cherry tunes much less so... One of these days, I'll get round to documenting my experiments on a blog of some description... -

Id make sure they'd got the diagnosis / prognosis spot on before I made any final decisions... and as much information as I possibly could. Having been told that I shouldnt have survived an accident, and that I wouldnt walk again, Im inclined to make certain of anything the medical profession tells me...
