  1. No they have finished now until next year.
  2. http://www.nortonshow.com 10am - 2pm According to a sign on the main road.
  3. No it won't have been cancelled if there are any events on they move it just down the road to Rowsley. They normally change the signs, but only near the entrance to the car park.
  4. If you mean the one at the cricket club it is the 31st August. It's not on first page but the organiser posted it on page 23. ---------- Post added 21-08-2014 at 16:38 ---------- Thorsby market closed due to high business rates.
  5. I would say Oldcoates loads of people walking round there. Hope this helps.
  6. It was the 8th of June that was cancelled all the others have been on.
  7. Just had a really heavy downpour over Thorpe Hesley will be very surprised if car boot goes ahead in the morning.
  8. Yes it's advertised as being on, but with the forecast for heavy rain and thunder over next couple of days it is possible it will get cancelled.
  9. Last year they weren't very good because they were having them on the same Sundays as the one at Thorpe Hesley cricket club and everyone was going there, the year before they were really good, so hopefully they will be good again this year.
  10. Because I didn't find out until after it had finished, otherwise I would have put it on here.
  11. It wasn't as big this morning, as it normally is it only took about 30 mins to walk round. Think the problem is the fact that they cancel them that often and last minute people are going elsewhere. Millmoor Juniors was also on this morning which is just down the road, so people could have gone there. It is nowhere near as big as Oldcoates and never will be they don't allow traders. A car boot is only as good as the traders standing, Oldcoates included, been loads and not bought anything, then you can go the following week and keep having to go back to your car with everything you buy.
  12. Signs are still out and they don't say cancelled so I presume it's still going ahead.
  13. The dates are on the first page, but because of it being a cricket pitch it does get cancelled if there is a lot of rain.
  14. Went to both car boots out of the two of them the Arena one was better, a lot more sellers, as buyers we were there about 7.15 a lot more were standing than actually walking round but that was due to weather not being the same as forecast.
  15. Hi Hope car boot is a good one in a nice place, there is a chap called Alan who stands there selling plants. He isn't there every week though sorry I can't be any more helpful.
  16. They are listed on the first page.
  17. They let the public in at the same time as the traders.
  18. Don't know if you need to pay more to stand at a car boot by selling both new and old. You don't need a licence to trade, I think what you mean is Public Liability Insurance this is cheap anyway and only costs £53 for the year, hope this is of help.
  19. You need to be there for about 6.30 as they have a limited number of spaces and normally have to turn traders away. It was around £5 to stand last year don't know if it's gone up this year.
  20. The only indoor carboot is at Mansfield and to be honest it's not worth the fuel. Not really a carboot in Sheffield only Oldcoates, Doncaster at the weekends at minute.
  21. Yes they run all through the winter and no you don't have to book. Decent shoes with a good grip at Donny as it can get like a skating rink at times. Hemswell and Oldcoates are also open all year round.
  22. Hemswell is on tomorrow phoned today and Howard who runs it confirmed he is open.
  23. You really need to be there around 7 on the last carboot a trader was moaning she was the first in the queue the gates were closed but quiet a few cars were already set up she ended up half way round the field. How that works I don't know. Apparently they are not allowed to let anyone on field before 8 but they do. Hope you have a good morning selling.
