  1. Hello all, Does anyone know of any small/medium sized venues in Sheffield that would be available to hire for a meet up of fellow fighting game enthusiasts? Thanks, Ry
  2. Oh, you mean this serious question? Do i think a serial killer has got a rough deal? Not in the slightest. Your comments are obviously inflammatory, we as a society don't generally go around piling sympathy on murdering psychopaths. You mention the victims were "hardly saints" without ever backing up your claim and that Jo, as you so affectionately called her, has said sorry so somehow thats ok? And you wonder why i smelled a troll?
  3. Possibly, or someone stretching out their trolling hamstrings...
  4. Just Sarah, as i peruse these threads on a daily basis, yours are the comments that stand out the most. Not in any positive light I would add. It seems your only reason for being here is to continually push your own agenda with regards to the faith of Islam. Whether it be pulling statistics from where the sun doth not shine, making wild assumptions or just generally tarring all with the same brush, its like a broken record. I won't be replying to anything, just wanted to leave this here. Not interested in a debate with you, a wise man once gave me a good piece of advice when it comes to arguing, something about "fools" and "at a distance"...
  5. I'd take a stab at it being his 2nd profile... ---------- Post added 11-09-2013 at 12:37 ---------- PS, this thread is hilarious...
  6. Agreed. As for the Kinect thing, i'm expecting some clarification on that coming in the next few weeks, it all does seem a bit murky. If MS wants to see me pictures of me staring at my screen with my washing airing out behind me, all they had to do was ask 3m sales compared to double that number playing/played the game, thats a lot of missed revenue (an example i quoted earlier). Also, who's to say that someone who trades in an Activision game puts the proceeds to another Activision game?
  7. Revengence was more like a Devil May Cry game, all over-the-top fight sequences and very little of what makes a Metal Gear game a, well, Metal Gear game...
  8. Granted, I could have worded it better, what i said was more of a view on the comments i've seen on articles regarding the ill-fated DRM measures. People were (understandably) miffed at the prospect of not being able to get cheaper games anymore, but seemed to think that they had a right to these cheaper games, when it was the developer/producer who was getting short changed all along. One developer was quoted as saying they sold 3m units of their game, but knew from the xbox live achievement system that over twice that amount of people had played that game on ther profiles PS, you make very good points about a dual approach.
  9. Just as a point of interest, when clairvoyants/mediums/psychics go about advertising there "skills", are they obliged to include some sort of written statement about their services being for entertainment only?
  10. I've been set on getting an Xbox One from the get go, especially after the KI footage from E3. Not happy about the fact i'll have to get a new arcade stick though, seen as peripherals for the 360 won't work on the One
  11. In no particular order, Final Fantasy 10 Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Mercenaries Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Guitar Hero 3
  12. Bit of a long shot as i know this game has a smaller (online) community than a David Cameron fanclub, but any Sheffielder's enjoy a bit of Mahvel 3?
  13. To be honest i'm a little disheartened that i won't be able to browse my friends game libraries, but its good that they've listened to the community. However, the vast majority of comments i've seen only show me that most gamers have this sense of entitlement when it comes to the games. The DRM measures were there to try and put the money back in the developers hands. Why should Game be able to make 80-90% profit on every game that gets traded in with the people who actually made it only ever getting that first piece of the pie? It could have also led to cheaper brand new games, but hey ho, life goes on. ---------- Post added 20-06-2013 at 15:25 ---------- Whats to stop Sony doing this also? What exactly have they done?
  14. Why didn't you just make an appointment? Surely they can't refuse that?
  15. Actually, when you look at it on a cost to hours spent ratio, computer games are probably the best value for money entertainment medium out there. Where else can you spend £40 and get literally days of entertainment? 2 hours in the cinema will set you back over a tenner...
