There is a spray from philips called contact cleaner that i have used on many electrical contacts. It won't harm anything because that is what it was made for. sorry I have no idea where to get it from as i have had mine for about 15 years but you could try googling it.

Apple at meadowhall sorted it out for me.

also it hasn't got the ipad baseband on it.

Hi, I have an iphone 3g 16gb. I had it officially unlocked by o2 and updated the firmware to ios 4.0. Today on itunes it sait that a newer update of 4.2 was available so i clicked the download and update. It downloaded the update and then said it was preparing the phone for update. That was it as it came up unable to update and had error 2003 and stopped in the recovery mode. I can put it into the DFU mode and tried to restore back to ios 4.0 but the screen stayed black and i got another error and it was back in recovery mode. I have tried all I know including a hard reset but with no luck. Any sggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks, Tony.

I have just had a freesat HD installed and it is brilliant, it beats freeview hands down but I guess thats just a matter of opinion.

On ebay they are selling for between £100 to £160 second hand.
