not exactly an answer to the question, but a complaint, about the way government is starting to use Universities as a milch cow and charging asylum seekers who've been given leave to remain in the country full whack (and it is full whack) as international students, when that's the very thing they aren't, and can't afford to pay as.

this is like a freebie, but the relatively new Iranian restaurant on Abbeydale rd. is terrific. (and it made it into both Star and Telkegraph and even the Independent). Do give it a try. (You can take your own drinks, though they do a lovely cardamom tea)

quite irrelevantly, we're off to Nottingham for the night on Wednesday to the Theatre Royal, and we trust the snow is going to let us pass.#No buses back after 6.30, and the only train at 11.15 doesn't get in till 1.36, so it's car or walk... Roger
