I agree with the new policy of a house fit for purpose and not for life as more family homes are needed. A couple where the children have left no longer need the extra rooms and so should move to a house right for them. This will help single room couples who are starting a family and create areas of mutual situation. The last thing old people want is young adults with blaring stereos and shouting gangs on the corners, they need areas specifically for them. At the moment this mingling of age groups is causing alot of tension.

As you already do kitchens what about the furnishings to go with them. Blinds or curtains, co-ordinated Morphy Richards appliances (SY company). Cutlery, pans, tables and tablewear. People get loans for the fitted kitchens but not the accessories. You could also look at financing options.

As for social work, if you can't get a normal job and was bullied at school or abused by relatives then this is the job for you. Loads of misfits altogether in one pot so your skills will be waisted. Your qualifications stand you in a far greater scope, just having a degree is great and as they are so general it is the understanding that is projected and not the specific subject. You could try teaching, helping kids to read or even adults and show them how it enthused you to go so far. I think everyone is unique and can sell there own business doing what they like doing best, do some market research.

I see the problem being that too much money is in too few hands. We have been in a self destructive cycle for decades importing cheap goods that does nothing for our industries. The topping has to be employers set on importing quick cheap labour instead of nuturing and training our youth. Investing in our young people will be far better for our future than quick fix foregn labour. Housing unemployed people in their own homes unsupervised untrained unmanaged doesnt help. I would like to see dormatries for unemployed people where they can build experience with people, get training, have healthy meals, play team sport and hopefully want to get the hell out of there as soon as they find a job.

I suppose being brought up in the existence of foreigners who did little to build the country and seemingly extract the wealth created a chip on his shoulder.
