  1. Hiya Smudge! Thank you. Yes, I really like to think the same. And yes, knowing him, that's exactly where he is right now...scoffing salmon. :-). But do miss him like crazy. As long as he's well then that's all we could ever hope for really! Delilah
  2. Hiya All. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent messages, posts and kept looking for the Feen. Really appreciated everyone's help. Meant soooo much. But unfortunately I think it may be time to give up hope of him returning. :-(. Been 6 months now. You never know though, but it does hurt too much living in hope everyday, so may be time to let it go...and if he comes home - Brilliant!!! Still look for him every time I'm out though. :-D. So once again 'Thank you' to everyone for your help - you've been brilliant! Delilah x
  3. Hiya Nikita Thanks for taking time out and looking at the pics etc. Really appreciate it. Knew it was a long shot, but you just can't help chasing up every possible lead (no matter how small) can you? Ah well, shall keep looking....knowing him he will be curled up in someones house dining out on fresh salmon or something, without a care in the world. But hopefully he will come home soon. Missing him loads. Once again thank you. Delilah
  4. Hiya Nikita Bit of a long shot as I am nowhere near you really, but am desperate to find my lost ginger cat. Just grasping at straws that it may have got locked in a van or something and ended up further afield...I doubt it, but just worth chasing up... and I have chased up about every ginger cat in Sheffield. Ha ha. Here is a link to some pics. As I said, it's a very long shot but appreciate it if you had a quick look to confirm. Thank you. Delilah. PS - He is male, but neutered...but as I said, just grasping at straws really. http://s1134.photobucket.com/albums/m611/delilah1965/
  5. Leads have gone quiet at the moment...but convinced he is still out there! So please everyone keep an eye out! Thanks.
  6. Hiya All Just a quick update. We are getting lots of positive calls re the ad in Active8. My husband and I have literally been everywhere in the area checking out leads. If it is him he is certainly getting about a bit!!! But fingers crossed there seems to be quite a few sightings in a concentrated area near our old house. So it is looking good that he is still out there. Once again thanks to you all for your help and everyone who has called, you've been brilliant!!! Got a good feeling it's only a matter of time now! Delilah
  7. Hiya LittleMermaid Yes it is him in Activ8...we still haven't got our issue yet, but apparently it shall be around the whole area by the weekend...if it doesn't snow I suppose. Saying that I have already had three calls today!!! 2 weren't him but the other is a very promising lead. Basically a stray that has been hanging round that looks like him keeps popping up (the last time last night) near our old house. The people who rang are going to call as soon as they see him again and I will hot foot it round (it's literally 2 minutes away...we didn't move far. ha ha). Just like you and everyone on the forum, everyone calling has been lovely and it really does help. And really gives you faith that there are lots of very kind people out there and if he has been found will hopefully have been taken in and looked after. And Hiya Teeny... Yes i have seen the very cat. I almost crashed the car when I first saw him at a distance thinking it was ours. He gets about a bit. I saw him on our front the other night and make his way down the street towards the roundabout at Bocking Lane!!!! I did go out to check it wasn't ours, but it was defo the cat that is round Marshall Road. Once again, THANK YOU to all of you for the kindness, support and help in trying to get him home. You've all been brilliant!!! I really feel this ad may do the trick. Fingers crossed!
  8. Hiya Den Thanks for posting this. Gave us all here a lot of hope! Yes, It could have defo been him, as I only live down near the cemetery gates area. And from the way you have described him, it's all too possible. And all the sightings I have had have all been around that sort of area. So thank you. It does give me hope that he still is out there. If it was a few days after then at least the unimaginable hadn't happened (run over etc). Have put an ad ... well it's a business card size ad... in Activ8 this month. Should be out and around S8 by the weekend at latest. Sooooo fingers crossed and someone has taken him in and sees the ad etc and he is home pronto. Once again thank you!!! Oh, and yes, put a flier through the cattery postbox in the first week he went missing. so if he turns up there hopefully will get a call. Delilah
  9. Hiya All Keeping up the search and again thank you everyone for all your help and messages I've received. Still not home yet so have submitted the ad to Active8. Just awaiting a reply to whether it will be in this months etc. Bound to have missed the deadline. So at least this way I will know everyone in S8 will see it. Well the ad is classed as a "business card" and only 8 x 5 cm but still at least it's out there. Someone somewhere may see it and have some news. Sooooo, all fingers crossed! Del
  10. Hiya All Thanks for that Midgecat - does give you hope doesn't it? A similar thing happened to our friends Gran's cat... well it was 9 months, not quite as long. Ha ha. But it just shows you. And I think you and Smudge have hit the nail on the head. He WILL be sat scoffing fresh salmon on some old dears rug in front of the fire somewhere. That would be sooooo him. Just not like him to not come home. Hence we think he is being kept as a house cat somewhere. Still, as we all say, as long as he is safe and loved, then at least that's the best we can hope for, other than him being home with us. And no, he wasn't ill or anything before he disappeared. Seemed his normal self. Though he does pick up on stress. Bizarre, I know, but he does. And there was a fair bit in the house in the week up to his disappearance due to the car accident and dealings with the insurance, and the other person changing their story and now not accepting liability etc. So it could have been a factor. I just don't know. He seemed fine and had his usual cuddles etc. And Smudge you have a good point re strays. Ours is very territorial and is always trying to see off any cat in our garden...though its generally the usual suspects from the neighbouring houses. But bizarrely a couple of days before Xmas, I spotted something at the top of the garden. Went to have a look only to find 2 cat collars a couple of feet apart from each other. A couple of cats must've had a tussle in our garden..but no fur or anything? Strange. One had a magnetic cat flap thing on it...so who know's how they got back in that night? Anyhoo, shall keep up the search and not give up hope that he will come back! Am off this week, so gonna contact Activ8 tomorrow re placing an ad etc. Once again thanks everyone for all your help. You're brilliant. Really appreciate it. Delilah
  11. Happy New Year to everyone on the forum! Was hoping the Feen would come back for Xmas, but still no joy. So, new year...new approach. Am thinking of taking an ad out in Activ8.....as it's full of them! Ha ha. Just something simple - a pic, highlight the reward etc. Have read ad's start around £50? At least that way I know everyone in the entire area will at least get to see he's lost etc. Never seen any "lost" ads in there before, but I can't see why they wouldn't put it in? Anybody had any dealings before with them?
  12. 5 weeks today since the Feen has been missing. Still holding out hope we get the best present EVER this year and he comes home. Once again, thanks to you all for looking for him. You've all been brilliant!!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone on the Forum! Delilah
  13. He's even lovelier in person LitleMermaid. An absolute cutie and so good natured. That's why we miss him so much. Even our other cat....who is quite probably the grumpiest thing on earth is missing him...and that's saying something. Ha ha. Thanks again for keeping an eye out. We really really appreciate it.
  14. Hiya All Thanks to everyone for keeping an eye out. Have had some really lovely messages etc. As I said to one message it's just brilliant to know that people are keeping an eye out and care. Really appreciate it. Yes magsie, there's a poster in the Abbey Moor vets, and Peak Vets and done a poster drop of the surrounding area. So hopefully someone somewhere will see him soon. Went out last night for a another walk around calling him...and it was wet...and windy...and all I could think was that I bet he's in someone's house in front of the fire eating smoked salmon. Mmmm. To be honest we've found it's the best way to think. Then at least we know he's safe and looked after. But he should be home. Once again, thanks everyone for keeping a look out. Here is the link again re pics of the Feen http://s1134.photobucket.com/albums/m611/delilah1965/. Delilah
  15. Hiya All Just posting to keep up/highlight he's still missing. Thank you to everyone who has kept an eye out for him. Hopefully someone will soon see him and help us get the best Chrissy present ever. Just want him home. Thanks everyone Delilah
