  1. Only ever went the once and that was to see Aliens, and it was still cinema 567 at that time. Jim:thumbsup:
  2. I was a Friday night regular circa 1987/88. Still have the drainpipe stay press, lemon kappa jumper and back perm! Our regular run was Craisy Daisy, across the road to a bar which was part of the hotel behind Nat West on High Street, then Blue Bell and onto Cairo's. Happy days.......... Jim:thumbsup:
  3. I worked down the Leadmill for 7 years from 88 onwards so perhaps just outside the time scale your looking at, but do you remember Blammo! Made some great records and even got air play on Radio 1 with "Ecoutez Et Repeatez" (excuse the spelling!). The singer and drummer, she was called Bromwyn, used to play down the old indoor cricket centre at Norfolk Bridge. Jim:thumbsup:
  4. Edinburgh without a doubt. If you want busy you can find it, if you want relaxing its just round the corner. Lots to do and see and pretty cosmopolitan with all the tourists knocking around. Jim:thumbsup:
  5. Maybe the Paris/Dakar has been rerouted round Parson's X with a pit stop at the Parson's X hotel........ Jim:thumbsup: (Yes I know its Parson Cross!)
  6. In't North O'Sheff it would have to be Lunchbox in Chap (formely Hanwells). A reet good portion!!! Cheers Jim:thumbsup:
  7. Try Lunchbox (formely Hanwells) at Chapeltown. The staff have just bought the place out and might be looking for extra business. The food is is great there. 0114 2450421 Cheers Jim:thumbsup:
  8. Recently had my car rear ended to the extent that its a total loss. Wondered what I should be getting from the insurance if any one can help. The car is a Seat Ibiza 1.4s 5 door V plate, 1999. 54k on the clock. Was in excellent condition. I think the insurance offer is a tad low, but would value your opinions. Cheers Jim:thumbsup:
  9. Pitch size was ok because we had two widths if you know what I mean. I've still got a bad back so putting it down to the hard surface or the fantastic save I pulled off or the two goals I scored (told you I'd get it in again Jester!!!). Can't make the 24th Ryan....sorry Jim:thumbsup:
  10. Beza, apologies for the following...... After herring about this thread i decided to have a pike at it. Good Cod I thought. poor Beza, I bet Eel be really upset. Rudd you believe it. I don't meant to Carp on about it, but you can feel his tench(sion) on the thread. Thats it, don't mean to be finny, but I've haddock enough of this! Jim:thumbsup:
  11. I was in Huddersfield at the time and it nearly hit me!!!!!!! Spooooookkkkkyyyyy Jim:thumbsup:
  12. Ended up with HP photosmart E317, upgraded memory card and HP Photosmart printer. The camera is 5mill. pixel. Not too many gadgets and I've managed to get it up and running in 5 minutes. (I'm not that technically minded!!!!) It was on offer in the sales as a bundle and would have cost £240 as a package. I said budget was important and had small change out of my £120! Thanks for everyone who replied though. Cheers Jim:thumbsup:
  13. This would just leave me open for being quoted and abused by my Sheffield team mates. There needs to be more love in the world..... By the way, they were both pretty clinical finishes. the second broke the net. :hihi: Jim:thumbsup:
  14. Sheffield, we nearly missed this thread. Did I tell you I scored twice (Don't think there's any more threads I can get this on.......!!!! Jim:thumbsup:
  15. I think its because Jester is 9ft 3. Can't have been me... I'm only 4ft 6 round! Jim:thumbsup:
  16. He could have meant PJay!!!!!!! Jim:thumbsup:
  17. I wonder if Sir Alex got on with their lesser known cousin Paul Michael Glazier? I was led to believe Sir Alex was a huge fan of Starskey and Hutch.
  18. I have no idea then, completely clueless. Please enlighten me with your wisdom. Jim:thumbsup:
  19. PJay Have you ever seen the Harry Enfield scetch of Charles "Charlie" Charles....thats you that is! Jim:thumbsup:
  20. Would imagine its something like 1 headed goal, 1 right foot, 1left foot. Whereas we are just happy to get three with whatever. Did you know I only just missed out on a hat trick in the forum match....... Cheers Jim:thumbsup:
  21. I'll nominate.......... er me! There, said it now. 2 goals and a cracking save at the other end. I think Andy was our best player though and I'd go for Preach for the foreigners. Can PJ tell me which type of trainer he was wearing as it must have had glue on the toes. Everytime it was passed to him it never went to another one of our players! Robbie... great goal by the way. Did it actually go in off your arse? Jim:thumbsup:
  22. [well done on the game! any pics of the goals? [/b] Unfortunately no pics, there would be no camera available with sufficient memory to store the number of goals scored by Sheffield!!!!!! Great match and I'm up for next time as well. Funniest thing was Robbie's dive/shot/stumble thing!!!
  23. Whatever happened to Leighton Rees, Cliff Lazarenko or the "Kirkady Kid" Jocky Wilson! That's when darts was a proper tv spectacular. Such elite sportsmen......
