the freesat has spdif, but, just looked on the dvd and no it hasnt unfortunately. We have now got continuous surround sound (the missis sorted that, im afraid to say) through the tv and dvd player, but when we put a dvd in the player we have no picture but the sound is fine, its now making my head hurt and I have resorted to beer to numb the pain. hi,ive just bought an lg 5.1 surround sound system and having real problems with setting it up,i recieve all tv chanells via freesat,im wanting it so i can get surround sound whether im watching tv or a dvd,the speakers are wired up to the rear of the dvd player,ive now got it where i have the sound but no picture and if i want surround sound through freesat i have to run aa scart lead from the freesat box to the dvd player which is ok but i cant then run another scart lead from the dvd player to the tv as the player only has one scart socket,im sure that i have connected this up wrong but i really havent a clue,does anyone know how i can achieve surrond sound ftom tv chanells a nd the dvd player,be greatfull for your help,many thanks,the system i have just bought is an lg805th

I wouldnt use one unless I absolutely had too, and then I wouldnt be withdrawing a tenner, It would have to be an amount which the £1.75 or £1.99 is worth the sacrifice. In my local shop I would rather use my card to pay, even though they charge 50p for the privelage its still better that the £1.75 charge.
