  2. Something not to be missed if you like something wonderfully different. Went to the opening performance last night and didn't know what to expect. Wasn't disappointed though as the acts were amazing. I didn't realise till half way through the performance that the music was being played live out of sight. Singer had a great voice and all members of the cast were very talented. Not altogether sure about the suitability for young children as it might be a bit scarey. My advice - to sit well away from the "action".

They are in Sheffield until Sunday 26th August. Last night, Wednesday was the opening night in Sheffield. Tickets available for Thursday, Fri, Sat and 2 performances on Sunday. Don't miss it! It's a treat! Sit back and enjoy!!

    IT'S BRILLIANT!!!

  4. bassett one - it is and can be very therapeutic. You can become so involved in what you are doing that everything else just doesn't exist! It is mindfulness at its's best. If you have worries it makes you forget for a while which is very positive. If you enjoy the classes as I did when I was at college it gave me something to look forward to in a very busy week with four young children. It was time for me.

I've always been a teacher so I decided to teach what I love doing.

  5. When I'm upset I work with flowers. I go to a class on Friday afternoons at Wickersley Community Centre S66 1JJ. It's for 2 hours 1pm to 3pm and I really look forward to seeing the people there and working with flowers and other materials. I'm so involved with what I'm doing that I forget my worries. If you would like to know more please pm me.

  6. I run classes in contemporary Floral design/formerly flower arranging. To see what we do please visit my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Smart-Flowers-Dinnington-Sheffield-488210167940719/

Just go to photos and then to albums - one for each class.

I also share on my page the fabulous work of international designers from all over the world. It really is an eye opener.

Recently I was very thrilled to be one of the winners of the Fusion Flowers Winter/Christmas wreath international competition on Facebook. I am NAFAS trained in Floral Art and Design and have a Cert Ed. teaching qualification.

    Interested in joining the classes?

  7. Hi Chez2, thanks for joining in with the discussion about routes to Wickersley.I find the motorway less complicated than all those busy roundabouts. I have a Facebook page - the link is: https://www.facebook.com/Smart-Flowers-Dinnington-Sheffield-488210167940719/

If you go to photos and then to albums you can see what we do each week. Last Friday we did a mossed star with flowers in the centre. It could also have a candle in the middle. Nearer to Christmas the stars will have dried out and I thought a tealight in a deep glass container would look good in the middle. Then we could use pine cones and baubles randomly round the glass.

  8. Hi Godzilla, The classes are at Wickersley Community Centre S66 1JJ. If travelling by car you can go along the Parkway and join the M1 southbound. Take the first exit on to the M18 then leave at Junction1 (Hellaby roundabout). It isn't very far. Go up the dual carriageway and the community centre is on the left before the first roundabout at Wickersley. There is parking outside. The next course starts on Friday 6th November and is on Fridays 1pm to 3pm for 6 weeks. (There won't be a session on 27th November.) This is the Christmas course. If interested please get back to me for details. If you like working with flowers you might like my Facebook page:

  9. Sometimes I get out of the house and go shopping - retail therapy. I might not buy anything but it makes me feel better just to go out. Other times I get involved in doing something I love doing so that I concentrate so hard on that thing that negative thoughts can't come into my head. Negative thoughts create negative mood.....not good.

What do you do when you feel down?
