If donating to any charities, please ensure they have been washed/cleaned before you donate, common sense I know for some, not so much for others.....

Norton Retail Park - St James
scousemouse replied to shazzamattazza's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I live very close to the new retail park, but apart from Wilkos and the card factory can't see me being a regular visitor. -
just seen aircraft flying very low over Jordanthorpe to my delight! I couldn't out of the door fast enough only to see it vanish over the houses. Then it came over again I was waving like a fool!! Was it a spitfire? It has made my day, and when England beat Sweden it will make it extra special. C,mon England!!!

What is so good about Sheffield City Centre?
scousemouse replied to 26b-6's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
.....in my opinion.... not a lot! other cities not a million miles from here have real class stores. What do we get when the Moor was revamped, Peacocks and Primark! Says it all really. -
Do some people not have pride in their work
scousemouse replied to jonnyenglish's topic in General Discussions
Pride in their work? Not the council ones who cut the grass, what a mess. -
I think I must be the only person who has never smelt cannabis. I have been told it is a very sweet/sickly smell, but since I have never come across it, I wouldn't know.

56-60. I turned 15 in the November and left that Christmas. Hated school, but liked some of the teachers. -

I passed yesterday and saw a Marine incident police van there, many floral tributes and balloons, but hadn't heard what happened. So sorry for loss of life. Deepest sympathy to the family concerned.

St George not welcome in Russia World Cup.
scousemouse replied to Albert smith's topic in General Discussions
Supporters going to Russia must make sure they are well insured for injuries. I wouldn't go for a free ticket! -

Mess left at Base Green after grass cutting
scousemouse replied to RJRB's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
If you want to see council grass cutting at its worst, Jordanthorpe is the place, it is beyond belief!! I saw two council workers on quad bikes just driving up and down supposedly 'checking on work done?' If that is the case, they should be sacked along with the grass cutters! -
Apart from your qualifications, you must ensure that You are as smart and well dressed. Your shoes are clean. Clean hands, nails and hair. Make sure you are on time, preferably arrive 10 minutes before your interview. If you are not sure of the company address, do a dummy run. if you are held up for any reason call ahead to let them know. Make eye contact with the interviewer, don't 'mumble'. You would be amazed how many people came for interviews were I worked, and didn't adhere to all (or even some!) of the above. Remember you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. Good luck!
