  1. Hi Baggy, Just came across this post, so my apologies. I wasn't expecting to make contact with any extended family members so it is somewhat a pleasant surprise. I will message you.
  2. Sounds like it very well might be . I will message you.
  3. IanS, Do you know of a Sarah Ann Goult (nee White) . She married Clifford Goult and lived on Crookesmoor road?
  4. I remember the Whites fruit and veg cart well as I was paid 3 pence (old money) to follow it with a bucket and small coal shovel to collect horse droppings for our neighbour to put on his roses 🤢
  5. Yes as were others including one showing a blue badge, but unlike some on this thread cars weren't towed, presumably because the resurfacing works were not done for a few more days. Informal appeal refused as the assessor claimed evidence that clearly was erroneous according to their own photos hence my assertion that the evidence was not properly reviewed and so dragged the process on.
  6. Better late than never, however, due to a previously ongoing dispute now resolved in my favour I can now confirm that they (whoever actually were placing signage Amey or Parking services)were non compliant with The Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedures) (England and Wales) regulations 1996 No. 2489 Part III Regulation 18 Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 3 Section 7.50 Traffic Management Act 2004 notably Section 10.2 and 10.3 I am sure that at least one person paid up rather than contest it even though they were incorrectly ticketed. One can only surmise that this occurred a few more times as the situation was due to last 10 days.
  7. It certainly is, fancy having a dish 6ft off the ground, somebody could easily bash their head on it
  8. What's that got to do with the price of fish. Nobody has said any thing about getting rid of traffic wardens. ---------- Post added 20-12-2016 at 21:21 ---------- If Amey management trained their staff to know and obey the rules then people wouldn't get needless tickets and the hoop jumping that goes with it. ---------- Post added 20-12-2016 at 21:29 ---------- They also expect you to scour the area just in case they have randomly placed signs even when you are parked next to a perfectly good clear restriction notice. I quote from Parking services letter "It is up to drivers to make sure they check carefully for parking restrictions each time they park"
  9. There is where a big part of the problem lies. Placing of notices should be done under the supervision of an authorised, qualified parking services officer.
  10. As Planner as said it is not in the system they are currently using.
  11. That is probably due to the fact that the website times out before you can render a full account, it also limits you to 3 photos as counter evidence. The operative then makes up a claim that even their evidence doesn't support or hasn't been sent, which is why it it is a valid argument to say a proper revue has not taken place. This is an area where they could save time wasting. There again we are now in the £70 or more area to prove you are correct
  12. Meanwhile the Parking Services are in profit to the tune of 3.4 million, a rise of 0.5 million.
