  1. I heard on Radio 4 last night (Evan Davis programme just before 6pm 1/11/2019 ) that MP's who get voted out are eligible for a severance package, if an MP doesn't stand for re-election they don't get this money.
  2. Apologies but I haven't read every page of this thread but I watched a film the other night called Kill List the main location I spotted was the Holiday Inn near the canal in town.
  3. I think Eurocar are the only firm in Sheffield that will let take a hire vehicle abroad
  4. Wow - two in one - a purchase and I've learnt something as well - awesome. Steptoad I've PM'd you
  5. Anyone know where I can buy a big Stars and Stripes (around 5' x 3') flag in Sheffield please.
  6. the lad with the ponytail used to work in the co-op in fulwood, really nice guy
  7. I would recommend Russells Bike Shed, he's opening a repair shop down at the railway station in the next couple of weeks.
  8. The guy I saw on the Parkway looked like he was doing some serious training - don't think he would be interested in a cycle path.
  9. I saw a guy last week (around 7pmish) on the Parkway looked like he was time trialing - very risky to be on that sort of road.
  10. I walked past it about an hour and a half ago and there was steam coming from and the security guys at the uni had taped the whole car park off
  11. Maybe park up in Hillsborough Park (the space they use for matchdays) and use the cycle path at the side of Penistone Road into town. Its pretty flat down to Kelham Island and then weave towards West Bar and you've done it. Traffic free for the most part. Or get training and take the Trans Pennine Trail all the way from Penistone Not on the folded bike though
  12. Its not the hills over the Snake its the traffic that is the worry - I wouldn't ride the Snake for a gold pig - you could however go off road along the Longdendale Cycle Trail from Hadfield (The Trans Pennine Trail goes through Glossop as well) drop down to Dunford Bridge and then along the Trans Pennine Trail into Sheffield - great cycle ride and no traffic
  13. Brilliant documentary, especially the soundtrack Voodoo Ray and the brass band.
