I note from the news this morning that the Australians are looking into geneticaly modifying cattle with kangaroo genes supposedly to improve milk yield...........I was under the impression that kangaroo's were a pest in australia ( a bit like rats)........I would have thought the last thing they need are Cows jumping all over the place.......also I thought cows jumping over moons where fairy tales, or figments of drunken imaginations. After reading all the postings on this subject .. what every one has failed to recognise is.....If it is deemed that the Us/British invasion of Iraq was illegal, then Saddams capture and imprisonment can be classed as illegal,and should be freed. So would the americans let him go..(no chance). Bush's only criteria for invasion was based on what his father failed to achieve in the nineties.

Sheffield has served its purpose for me...given me what I require..I can now leave and not miss the place one little bit....If any-one is interested I am moving to Cornwall....Im sure some one will have some comments about that......but I consider that i'm doing the right thing........

First of all to fudbeer if youve visited Leeds you'll Know their House prices out stripped Sheffields by several thousand quid, All due to the the amount of capital investment in the city,If leeds can do this why cant Sheffield. Fancy calling a forum page "Moving to Sheffield" what a dump, a City that can boast a total lack of investment,in any area of industry,stagnant property prices(compared to other Cities),Lack of work,High un-employment,poor business opportunities,...cant wait to move in 8 weeks.

Its getting rather boring now when ever a TV programme mentions crime,"everyone " assumes the Manor to be the worst area,when in fact it is an area of re-growth with private housing being built, and very few council properties left,which is more than can be said for Wybourn,Shiregreen,Woodthorpe,Gleadless I dont think I need to carry on mentioning worse area's than the manor, what we have to put up with is Yobs coming in from other area's to cause trouble because their so well known in their own. So it would be greatly appreciated if people tried to stop labeling area's and realised its a National problem,and not confined to certain districts.

In the debate as to whether fish feel discomfort or not depends on which reports one is willing to believe. Fish do not feel pain as they have no cereabral cortex running down the spine,so are totally immune to any feeling.

..Who could forget Troggy!!!!! pleasant chap,actually quite well spoken,his mothers death actually hit him hard and almost had a mental break-down. The manor gets some rough press which is unjustified,these days its no worse an area than any other. Even Dore and Totley/Fulwood/Hathersage complain about about yobs in the area,but the Manor does'nt have to put up with so called uni - students running riot.

I used to drive for mainline,you'd be suprised at the state of some of the buses, at least half of the older ones would fail a rigorous MOT,many was the time I was told to take a bus out knowing it was faulty, if you refused you were threatened with desciplinary action,things may have improved some since they got a batch of new buses but I doubt it. If a private vehicle was presented for a MOT test in the condition some of mainline were in, it would be refused and sent to a scrap yard.
