  1. A couple of spoonfuls of bicarbonate of soda in the bath water is very soothing. It also helps to dry out the spots.
  2. Ditto here. I'm quite happy with aol
  3. Have I got the right place? You used to have to go downstairs and it was near Dolcis shoe shop? Or am I mixing it up with Josephines? PS you are probably right, my mind could be on the blink
  4. All I can say is 'thank goodness that annoying little message on the LHS has gone'. Who bought it? Come on own up.
  5. I remember it too. It was on the RHS going up High Street. I didn't go there though as it was considered a place where the 'smoothies' went............I much preferred the Penthouse
  6. She should turn it on at 9.30pm ........................it's on at 9 o'clock
  7. I think that Eddie Izzard has a valid point when he says that women can wear trousers so why can't men wear dresses? After saying that, it wasn't always acceptable to do so. Maybe there is hope that one day, the clothes that we choose to wear will be totally irrelevant and not influence the way we are viewed by others.
  8. Good for you but does the world and his brother have any right to know your marital status. I mean what the hell has it to do with anything?
  9. Merely carring on from Sniperwookie's point where he/she states the married ones are offended because you have highlighted how undesirable they are. his/her remarks not mine. BTW ms was around at least 30 years ago. I know because I was using it. I also know that I was often asked 'what was a pretty thing like me doing being called ms when only lesbians used the term'
  10. This is exactly why women should all be ms. You (and society) assumes that if a woman isn't married by a certain age then she is either a) ugly or b) lesbian Why?????????
  11. Well Red have just been looking at some old Stars and I saw your piccy looking back at me. It great to be able to put a face to the name even if it's a different face to the one I imagined.
  12. fair point but the HRT doesn't half do a good job Anyway answer the question Mr/Ms Cyclone
  13. I'm thinking of matters of a personal nature here. Would you be bothered at seeing a woman GP for problems with your male bits and vica versa as a woman patient? I have tended not to mind one way or the other in the past but must admit as doctors get younger I am changing my feelings on this. I always try to see the female doctor but if she's not there then I will see the male GP. How about you?
  14. ............ only because not enough of us use it. I always used to call myself Ms until I married. Now for some reason (I don't really know why) I tick the Mrs box on forms but whenever I write a letter or make an official phone call, I use neither...... I just give my full name. Girls, I think we should start a camapign to abolish the titles Mrs and Miss, after all they belong to a bygone age when women weren't regarded as people in their own right.
  15. Had my baby in the old Jessops 10 years ago. The place should have been shut down years before it was. In the maternity pack of info that they sent out prior to admission you were informed that if you wanted to use the bath you should bring your own cleaning materials with you (for the bath that is) Needless to say nobody used the baths. Linked to that the fact that I had pre-eclampsia which they didn't pick up on and nearly died made my experience far from pleasant.
  16. How about this for starters http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/478616.stm
  17. Probably not in hallam constituency but I noticed this on Saturday last. The difference between Psalter Lane and adjoining Sharrow area is enormous and they are literally butted onto each other.
  18. The merchandise is massively overpriced but it was all selling. The ice-creams,drinks and popcorn were daylight robbery. My children are just beginning to understand 'value for money' and when they worked out how many weeks pocket money it cost just to buy a bag of popcorn their eyes nearly popped out of their heads.
  19. Red you are being a tad economical with the truth in your implication that the council has nothing to do with our fire service as this clearly shows Of course there is political involvement. Why did Clive Betts 'intervene' at the 11th hour just before the general elction re Mosborough Fire Station? I'll leave forum members to draw their own conclusions.
  20. It's fortunate that fire and police personnel don't have that 9 to 5 attitude. They have no choice. They have to provide 24 hour cover because their services don't ever stop being needed. If everybody who called a doctor out of hours were to turn up at A & E the place would be swamped and the ambulance service would be at meltdown.
