Can anyone recommend a good care agency for an elderly relative in the S35 area? Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good care agency working in the North of Sheffield? My mum is nearly 90, frail, has lots of falls and has very bad arthritis. She currently has four calls a day, but I am becoming increasingly frustrated with her current agency. Any recommendations would be very gratefully received. Thanks!

Hello. I represent HARC, Homeless and Rootless at Christmas Sheffield. We are a Charity who operate out of the Sheffield Cathedral Archer Project over the festive season, when other similar projects are closed for the holidays. We provide our guests who are homeless, rootless and vulnerable, with a safe warm shelter, and three meals a day, from 9.30am to 7pm. Our volunteer recruitment programme is now open, and we are looking for Cooks and Kitchen Volunteers particularly, to help with the project from Christmas Day through to 3rd January. I work for Homeless and Rootless at Christmas (HARC) a registered charity who provide shelter, food and, hopefully some entertainment for up to 100 guests who are Homeless or Rootless in Sheffield at Christmas. We open in the Sheffield Cathedral (Archer Project) from Christmas Day from 9.30am to 7pm, closing on 1st January at noon. For the past 21 years we have filled the gap when other services and projects close for the holidays. We are needing cooks in the HARC kitchen for the following shifts – can anyone help? Christmas Day – 12-4 4-7 Boxing Day- 9-12 Friday 27th- 4-7 Saturday 28th- 4-7 Sunday 29th- 12-4 4-7 Monday 30th- 12-4 4-7 New Years Eve- 12-4 Brief outline of volunteer cook role - Being in charge of the kitchen for that shift. Ensuring that kitchen volunteers are allocated tasks appropriately. Ensuring that the meal is prepared and delivered as per the daily plan. Ensuring kitchen kept clean and safe. The entertainment slots are between noon-1.30pm and 4.00-5.00pm. The entertainment slots we have left are Wednesday 25th December 4-5pm Thursday 26th December 12-1.30 and 4-5pm Saturday 28th December 4-5pm. I hope that you will consider coming on a voluntary basis, and playing for us. Please note that only over 18's are allowed to provide entertainment. Please PM me if you need any more information.

God only knows how many of these threads there are kicking around. Went to the Lodge Moor post office this morning to tax my car (my mistake, they don't offer that service there). Was told in very clear, grumpy terms they don't do that there, despite the fact that it said they did on the web when I checked. What is that guys problem!? Have been in before and had same delightful experience.....
