Ok then would you have paid knowing what the the facts were at the time I'm sure most people would have contested it then, hindsight is wonderful thing, thinking now ya I would probably be better paying first its gone on a lot further than that now.

I was looking through some correspondence from the council,they refused my case because I did not get a receipt for my £10 setting up fee so I did not get recept as they refused my card as it was a mestro card so I did not get a receipt from them,so they refused my case for not getting a receipt from them that they did not send so I've looked closely at all the correspondence from them thinking maybe I have missed something,no I can't find anything saying I have or have not paid the £10,as I have said before they sent me a confirmation of the account as far I was concerned it was set up ready to go,they put the fine up to £195 and said it was on hold until the matter is done which was 28 days,when they found the case against me they wanted for £195,I contacted them buy phone and said I was not happy with the decision and I was told that I would have to appeal to some ombudsman or some court I wasn't sure what they were on about at the time,I heard nothing more from it until this ballif guy turned up on my doorstep asking for £500+....I think I was bamboozled and the last thing you need when you are busy trying to make ends meet is some ballif on your case for that amount of money I am a working guy I have always worked Its hard enough to get enough money to pay for things to keep going I have no spare £500 to give anyone and I have no spare money to set any payment schemes with them I have not got anything worth taking and my Van is on the never never.

no to be honest with you I have not had anything from the Northampton court I just have had this sort of thing happen to me in the past with this court I was surmising they have got this from this court I also have had dealings with this bunch of money chasers before I know we can not name them on the forum but they have a poor track record for being bully boys

What court order I have not seen any court order all Ive got is a bit of scribbled on paper from a certain named bailiff company,and another thing I am certainly not burying my head in the sand.I just refuse point blank to had £550 od quid over of my hard eared money on my door step to some fat scum bag

Nothing slipped through the net with this I did everything right as far as I am concerned I say a lot of these councils are too quick to send these kind of people to your house for some trumped up charge £500 quid is a lot of money for £11.50 charge for anyone to pay in fact its a ridiculous rip off made legal by some processing court in Northampton

Done that got nowhere through official channels it just boils down to money when it comes to London council they are not interested I sent everthing back and answered all the questions properly all they are interested is racking it up and extracting as much money as possible out of you it just seems to be some kind of procedure they just don't listen

It can mount all it wants I've got nothing worth taking anyway I'm to busy paying rent and rates and trying to make ends meet to give them any money, vans on the never never They are certainly not getting in my house,they can can do what they want they can pester me for the rest of my days I'm not bothered.

Ive no intentions of paying a bean to them, if I had £500 odd quid it certainly would not go their way thats for sure.

Its a long story but here goes, I go to London a lot delivering the congestion charge is £11.50 if you pay before you go in or on the day before midnight.they have the option of paying £10 and you can set an account up with them to automatically deduct your payment at a reduced price of £10 every time you go in the charge area,sounds good so I set an account up with them gave them all my van details and bank account details,I got a thank you email from them saying I have an account number Job done so I thought, the next time I went to London I got a charge come through the post saying I have a fine of non payment of the congestion charge £65,so I got on the phone telling them I had an account with you to pay automatically here is my account number and details,I could hear her clicking away on the computer she came back and said you havent paid the £10 setting up fee for your account what I said you have all my account details..more clicking then she said what kind of card do have I said I have a mastro card more clicking she said you can't set this account up with a mestro card, I said I filled everthing in on line I gave you all my details there was nothing that flagged up on line saying this,ok can I pay the £10 now with my mestro card now yes you can but you will still have to pay the £65 fine though,ok so can I pay the fine with my mestro card then yes of course she said are you paying it now I said no im not Im going to dispute this fine..I sent the form back disputing it it then went up to £195 I sent another online dispute in and they sent some back saying I should have got a confirmation back for the £10 deposit and I did not reply back to it never saw any confirmation email,sorry they said the fine will stand they then bumped it up to £205 and then sent it to a dodgy court in Northampton to get it legalised Iv read a few stories about this so called court in Northampton.next its sent to this bunch of idiots who then add thire bit on top and come and hassel you for the money. ---------- Post added 29-10-2016 at 16:21 ---------- Yes I agree with you some people do need sorting out but read futher down what I have put

Got some fat bald headed idiot trying to get me to pay £548 for a disputed london congestion charge how the hell can an £11.50 charge turn into a £548 charge is ridiculous,something needs doing about these people I'm not easily intimidated,I just wonder how some les confident people go on dealing with these kind of bullies makes me think what kind of low life can do a job like that he said the removal van is on its way to take control of your goods ....

Ive just been looking online it says up and 42 mph you can go on one, I might get on the phone on monday,I new they would get me sooner or later I spend all day driving around the country including London , had a good run just so annoying I always try to drive properly and in the speed limits...that one was a strategically placed money laundering exercise in my opinion I and about ten other cars got done there I thought it was a 50 mph saw the signs further down the road saying 50mph sat nav said 50mph then pinged as I got to speed camera van to late to slow down,I went back and had a look where the van was parked I recon he was obstructing the first 30mph sign from view.thought about taking it to court but probably just wasting my time.

What is the criterion for being offered on one of these courses I got flashed doing 42 in a 30 mph there is no mention on this form they sent me about this course on it at all they also want £100 out of me as well as sticking three points on my licence I don't want anymore points on my licence as I run a courier business,it would bump up my already inflated insurance costs....

Its a simple chemical reaction called thermodynamics,usually you dont see this until the weather starts to get colder,the water is generated by the combustion in the cars engine the fuel has hydrogen in it it comes out of the engine through the exhaust and condenses into water that's the water that you see pouring out of the end of the exhaust,usually when the exhaust system warms up the steam and water will stop.petrol engines seem to suffer more from this than diesel engines...hope that helps a bit if your cylinder head has gone you would probably get over heating and boiling steam coming from the the radiator header tank...

Ive had that happen a few time people pay for things but never collect them,I sold a chop saw the guy paid for it he sent several messages saying he was coming to collect but never turned up,I put the saw back up for sale again and sold it again never heard a thing from the first person or Ebay.

There is no proper pubs left now, what I call a pub is a place that sells beer and spirits not food a place where you can meet your mates have a laugh have a good reasonably priced pint,everthing seems mixed up nowadays garages selling groceries pubs restaurants instead of pubs just wrong I think go to cafe or restaurant for your food go to pub for a drink,old fashioned maybe but I lost interest in pubs years ago,sooner sit at home now cheaper and safer.

Thats a shame I never knew anything about that..I did a few deliveries for them in the last month everthing seemed OK then.

Yes just coming back to a few things Graham crump that was his name he set a few bike shops up after leaving sure he is still around there was a big bearded mechanic called Reg there as well..I was a good friend of a few or the lads that worked at ropers down the roads a bit..good old days I was a dedicated british bike fan never liked and refused to accept Japanese bikes even to this day sad but there ya go, as for the Greeves it was in the back of the show room last time I saw it was a 250cc 25a square barrel villiers engine with the wild cat bore and piston it had the banana forks, it was yellow and blue I had a spin on it at a track somewhere in Derby we when one weekend to a race meeting there if rember I was bit too tall for it as it a very small bike.the shop building is still there you can see the shop front still the same and the workshop up the back street is still there in very much the same state. ---------- Post added 08-10-2016 at 10:10 ---------- Thanks Hillsbro you always come up with the pictures yes the workshop was at the top of that side road on the right

I think the lady was a married relative I can remember her as a very stern business like lady upstairs in the office who was a stickler for timekeeping,I can throw a few names in who I worked with at the time,the shop manager was a miserable sod called brian english a nother was a good mate who I have not seen for a few years was a lad called glen norton who went on to run the A57 garage on handsworth road brilliant mechanic who taught me a lot and believe or not I actually worked with the famous much loved and missed Ravi,he taught me a lot about scooters even though I was a greasy motorbiker at the time,one of the salesmen might still be around a guy called crump just can't remember his first name he worked in a few motorbike shops around sheffield,yes Dans was a very busy and famous shop at the time,they made a few bad business decisions at the time that finished them off mainly dealing in moskvich cars they lost loads of money on them,I hated working on them pile of junk the recalls overwhelmed the workshop to a point where we were forgetting the bread and butter motorbike trade they also had a spell in dealing with Reliant cars as well,sad demise of a famous dealership they closed around 1980 time and moved down the road a bit selling Lada cars,I left around that time.Ile have think about some more names and things,hope that helps a bit..Shogun

I worked at Dan Bradburys on london road as a machinic early seventies time,upstairs in the top of the shop was a lot of parts and frames for some kind of racing bike and a lot of old stuff, there was a lot of pictures there as well,the lady who was the owner of the place at the time would not talk about it I thought something happened stories were somone got killed or injured racing for the shop,they had a greeves silverstone then that I rode a few times.

Im one of those who can sleep anywhere any time any place,I can fall asleep within seconds of getting into bed and snore like a pig,you could clash cymbals in my ears the place could be on fire and I would still be asleep.
