  1. I really don't think TGIs is anything special. Especially for the price. For the amount you pay you could go to a proper steak house where the staff don't have to dress like circus clowns
  2. I think this is a great idea. Sheffield is a fantastic city with a lot going for it but in terms of how it's regarded in the rest of England it just doesn't match up with it's size. It needs some council money to attract investment and growth
  3. I have a lot of friends who have worked for Ant Marketing for short periods over the years. It's usually the sort of job that is used as a stop-gap between other employment from what I've heard rather than a permanent 'career'. This is often the reason for the unbelievably high turnover in staff in my experience with telesales. I've never worked for them myself but I have done call centre work. I found telesales work a little soul-destroying and very, very dull but as someone else on here mentioned some people do thrive on it. If you're in an uncapped commission position then you can make a good amount of money if you're good at your job
  4. One of the problems is that to increase a school's funding, a massive amount of kids are now registered as SEN when there is absolutely no need to do so. Therefore, the children who genuinely do need help are lost in the background of a mass of kids who are perfectly able but getting the school an amount of money each year for being registered with a need. I am a teacher and I see this all the time. Even in the top sets at school with highly intelligent children a fair few of them will have some form of SEN. It's become an almost meaningless minefield. The only way they are guaranteed further help is if they arrive from Primary school with a Statement which means they have been officially promised extra support in their education by the local authority but these are very rare (for a reason)
  5. Yes the unfortunate truth is that aside from mentioning it on a forum, modern England is full of people who just take these things lying down. The government can charge is what they want and we will just take it.
  6. Have there been a lot of road deaths in this area or is this just another pointless ruining of a road?
  7. Indeed, plus who are we getting to listen and what are we getting them to listen to?
  8. Does anyone know how much this is just for a standard exterior wash? Looks like they do a good job but all I can see when I drive past is the valet prices Thanks
  9. My immediate thought would be that, as with other residential 20mph zones, no one will do it and no one will enforce it
  10. upinwath has a good idea which has been championed by people before but unfortunately no petrol company is going to purposefully **** off the government like this. The government have a sweet deal, they put a ridiculous amount of tax on petrol and encourage the general public to believe that it's the greedy oil companies. Boycotting oil companies is a useless and misinformed idea
  11. I find the Cavendish a bit of a soul eater. It's just one of those pubs that's a carbon copy of every other student bar on West Street. I'd rather start somewhere with a bit more personality and some nice beers
