I want to nominate The Cocked Hat on Worksop Road, Attercliffe as being an original old fashioned pub. Its a nice friendly pub where you can chill n chat with no Yobs. They serve real ale and good meals at lunchtimes. Well done Antony!! (landlord) Caz

Im of the reasoning that all schools - no matter which part of town - have a bad element in them. If your kid keeps their head down and gets on with the work, they will get the results they want, whichever school they attend. Bullying is a big problem in school but Im sure you will find that it goes on in all schools!! Good luck to anyone looking to find the perfect school - they dont exist. Caz

As a smoker I still think its a good idea to ban smoking in cafes and restaurants. Even I dont like eating in a smokey room. With the pubs wouldnt it be a better idea to have one room for smokers and one room for non-smokers?? That way the pub doesnt lose trade and everyone is happy. Pushing smokers out onto the street will cause more littering surely. One thing that really gauls me is people who empty their car ashtrays at traffic lights or in car parks. Its just as easy to tip it into your bin when you get home. As for people getting cancer from passive smoking, well I suppose you could. But what about the chemicals in our food and drink and the pollution in the air from factories, traffic etc. You will die one day from something chemical related. Drinking kills your liver, brain cells and other organs no doubt - no one asking for a drinking ban is there??????? Fatty food gives you heart disease - dont see the burger joints closing down either!! Caz

I had mine spiked about a year ago in Trippets Wine Bar. Ive never been so scared in my life. I ended up being ill for about 3 days. My advice to anyone is drink from a bottle and keep it in your hand all night with your thumb over the top. There are some nasty B***Ds out there who pray on the unsuspecting. Caz

Dont remember the DLT lookalike but does anyone remember the Jamaican guy with the flat peaked cap. He was a pleasure - always smiling and happy go lucky guy? There was also one who had tight curly blond hair and a tash (a bit like Robert Shaw in Jaws film). Caz
