  1. LOL....that was sarcasm, aimed at the people who seem to hold that opinion
  2. Intending to kill a particular person or not giving a damn about who you kill? I'd say both are pretty evil. No intent to kill but an intent to make it a very real risk of doing so. Deserve the same punishment.
  3. Just as I was saying. A car is a lethal weapon and if someone had ran around the streets, not meaning any harm but randomly firing a gun in the air, resulting in someones death, no one would say 'but they didn't mean it'
  4. Yes a little sensitivity for a family who have gone throught the most horrific time and still are, would have been nice.
  5. 42 is hardly a 'lad'. Malice and evil? This is a cretin who is a convicted drug dealer and sets his bird of prey on his neighbours cats!!!
  6. I know, I should have learned by now that some people are on here just to wind others up, regardless of the subject. Just want justice for my Mum. She was completely innocent and entirely blameless and did not deserve to die such a horrible, violent, lonely death just for someone elses ego.
  7. I hope I got it wrong as it's the most convenient stop for my daughter
  8. No, they did not set out to kill, it was irrelevant to them whether someone died or not. They were going to have their bit of fun regardless of who they killed or injured or how many lives they devastated. Road laws are there for a reason, to stop people using them for their own fun at the expense of everyone around them. But it's ok, they didn't mean it.
  9. Yes of course they would. These two just didn't care whether they killed someone or not, didn't matter to them. They wanted a race and were prepared to kill someone to have their bit of fun. Just a second before this pair of scumbags came racing around the bend, four teenage girls had just made it across the road. It was so close that they still had their backs to the road when they heard them speed round the bend. Has these girls been a second or two later these mindless morons would have more than likely killed all of them. Instead these poor girls had to witness my mum being smashed into at 70mph. Would you all be saying then that it was just an unfortunate accident?
  10. Exactly. When you drive, sorry race, at 8omph against another car in a 40 mph zone at a busy time, you take the extremely high risk that you are going to kill someone. They risked this and now don't want to face the consequences. No, they didn't set out to kill my Mum, they didn't give a **** who they killed, just the first person to get in the way of their race was going to die.
  11. Fancy people thinking that they should be able to drive on our roads and not be hit by two people thinking they are competing at Silverstone. Honestly, some people expect too much don't they? What about my mum's right to live?
  12. I think that was only for the induction days. Im sure the head teacher said that in September the bus wouldn't be going up Langsett Avenue
  13. So, they were accidentally racing at 80mph then. And no, they were going way to fast to stop if and when they saw her. If Adam Cox's windows werent illegally tinted then he might have seen her. Or were they accidentally tinted too dark? An accident is caused by something you didn't mean to do. They meant to race with every bone in their sad lttle bodies.
  14. No, actually we are not. That is not the purpose of this thread. It was to inform people what these lowlifes are up to now.
  15. Thanks, I have realised that now..... However most people have been very compassionate and are thoroughly disgusted by what has happened and luckily they outnumber the ones who are just on here for an argument. Im sure alot of these people wouldn't be so high and mighty if they had had to go through this horror. Lets not forget this could have happened to any one of us. Its just down to pure luck that we are all here to discuss this because with idiots like that on the road you are never safe, unfortunately.
  16. So do I. They are obviously not man enought to cope with and have the decency to serve their sentence so they will cry to their solicitor and he will just see pound signs. Us, the taxpayers will then pay for their defence, just adding to what these two have cost us already. No one forces a prisoner to make an appeal, it is their choice and decision but we all know what kind of choices these people have made before, thats why they are locked up and our roads are safer for a while. So no, the defence are just doing their job, however wrong it seems. The killer are the ones to be criticised.
  17. Obviously you just need to have the last word. Don't you have anyone at home to argue with? I have seen your other posts...... Like I have said over and over again, this was not a thread to debate prisoners rights to appeal. It was to inform people of facts. Go on, reply and I promise I will let you have the last word.
  18. That is not what I am saying at all. What I am saying is stick to the subject instead of wanting to argue about something completely different. This thread is about a specific case. You want to keep going on about whether any random prisoner should have the right to appeal. In many cases yes they should. You weren't in court. You know nothing about this case. The evidence was plentiful and overwhelming. They had a fair trial and were given a reasonable and appropriate sentence. You keep saying mistakes can be made. Not in this case. That is why its beyond belief that they should appeal and put a family through more distress when they received the lowest sentence on the level they were convicted of. We are not generalising on this thread, it is about this particular case. The thread was started to inform all the people who are disgusted by these two lowlifes, that they are continuing to show no remorse. Yes, I do have an emotional attachment and that is why I am so vocal about it. But I am rational, very much so. That is because I know each and every fact and detail about this case. I know what kind of characters we are talking about. The fact that one of them stood up and blatantly lied after 14 witnesses gave evidence. The fact that they showed no respect or consideration for human life. The fact that there was a flagrant disregard of our road laws. The fact that they only cared about their bit of fun that night that they didn't care who they injured or killed. The fact that one left the scene and hid from the police. The other one only hung around because of a slight injury then got straight back in a car his parents had provided as soon as it was possible. Not surprising they are appealing really is it, knowing the kind of people they are?
  19. Is seems that they are going to try and say it is level 2, but even then it would be the very top of level 2 which carries the same sentence. They didnt accidentally race, they chose to and by not accepting the sentence and serving it they are just showing what kind of people they really are.
  20. We are not talking about appealing in general here. If you are going to comment, stick to this matter or start a new thread. This thread is about the appeal these two inconsiderate b******s are making. THERE WAS NO MISTAKE. For goodness sake, how many more times?? They got the mimimum sentence for their conviction. They were convicted of the crime and sentenced appropriately in and within the sentencing guidelines. Are you saying that the 14 eye witnesses were all possibly mistaken too?? MC Spyda, you just love an argument. You want to contradict everything, no matter what the subject or what your views really are.
  21. EXACTLY. So what grounds are there for appeal? Got off lightly I reckon
  22. These morons were sentened to the MINIMUM sentence on level 1 of causing death by dangerous driving which is what they were convicted of. The defence argued it was upper level 2, the Judge deemed it Level 1. Had they been convicted of upper level 2, they would have stil got the same sentence.
  23. You cannot possibly call this an accident. If she had died in an accident it would be easier to accept. An accident is caused by a mometary lapse of concentration or bad judgement over a period of seconds, or similar. This was a case of two people making a decision to race their cars against each other in a built up busy area at a busy time. They were breaking the law by speeding and racing and knew they were putting innocent peoples lives at risk. Its not the same. Then they kill someone. One even leaves the scene and pleads not guilty. (Thats the one who drove on a provisional license unaccompanied for 20 years) If they had been convicted for 5 and 7 years for a genuine mistake then yes, I would very easily understand that they would want to appeal. But they were sentenced to that term purely because of the circumstances. A deliberate act of aggressive driving, speeding, racing and showing off. They made a concious decision to do what they did. It wasnt just bad driving and a genuine error.
  24. What they did was just as bad as intending to kill a particular person. They were still breaking the law for a start. If you drive like they did then you have to accept that you may kill someone and be prepared to take the consequences. If I went out and started shooting bullets into the air for my own fun but with no desire to kill one particular person, how would that be looked upon?
  25. We are not generally speaking. We are talking aboiut something specific. That being two people who took a persons life during their own bit of testosterone fuelled fun.
