  1. I don't think it's your mode of transport, it's your making aggressive and offensive gestures at other people that's the problem.
  2. What's sad about knocking down a redundant building? Times move on and once the place has outlived its usefulness why leave it standing?
  3. I hope you're more accurate at collecting fares than you are at telling the time!
  4. Yes, an entertaining and amusing presenter who takes great delight in winding up PC bores like yourself!
  5. Every criminal will be encouraged to play the "mental problems" card by their defence in the hope of a lighter sentence. I don't buy it, if you commit a crime you should be punished for what you've done, regardless of your state of mind when you did it.
  6. Isn't the big problem the fact that First are the only company to run the 51 route and as they have a monopoly there's no incentive for them to run a decent service. Maybe if they had someone like Stagecoach competing for passengers against them the service might improve?
  7. The thing I don't like about London is that as soon as people have lived there for a bit, they develop a snotty attitude, feeling like they're superior and looking down on anyone who lives in a provincial city like Sheffield as if they're somehow better than we are. The OP is a perfect example of this.
  8. Seeing as this was your parting two fingers to Sheffield last year, why do you think we want you and your snooty attitude back? http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9962035&postcount=24
  9. So none of these staffy attacks actually happened and the media is making them all up because what really sells papers is reports of dog attacks on humans? And all the websites, TV stations and radio broadcasts that report these attacks are part of the conspiracy as well?
  10. I never said ALL staffies are killing machines, simply that the facts prove that not only are they more likely to attack than other breeds, but the ferocity of the attack is likely to be far greater and all too often can prove fatal. Add to that that staffy owners tend to be mainly lowlife chavs who want to look hard and actively train their dog to be vicious, is it any surprise that there are so many staffy attacks?
  11. So the service is so bad that you vow not to use it again. Yet when you complain they send you a pass to use the service that you've vowed never to use again???? Surely they should refund the cost of the taxi in the form of cash?
  12. Thanks for at least attempting to make your point with some degree of intelligence but unfortunately neither your sources nor your experiences disprove the fact that a staffy is an inherently aggressive and dangerous breed. Your argument seems to be "I owned a staffy, my staffy never attacked anyone, therefore staffies aren't dangerous", this obviously doesn't make sense as you only have to look at the countless staffy attacks on people widely reported in the media and online as proof that the staffy is a far more dangerous breed than most other dog breeds. And of course these are just the reported attacks, there'll be many more where the staffy attack went unreported. Also your links are not impartial. Organisations like The Kennel Club are run by and funded by dog owners, many of whom may own staffies so of course they're going to take the pro-staffy side for fear of losing members if they actually tell the truth! Finally you've fallen for the old "staffies are knownm as the nanny dog" myth which is completely untrue and has no basis in history. See this link below for why your statement is wrong. http://thenannydogblog.blogspot.co.uk/ So whilst I respect your position and appreciate your politeness, I'm afraid nothing in your post disproves my argument that the staffy is a dangerous breed and this latest attack is just another example of why they should be banned.
  13. I would much rather live next to a family with happy children who sometimes make a bit of noise than some scroat who smokes weed, sets his staffy on people and blasts rap music at full volume all day and night.
  14. I'm sure Louise Caygill thought her staffy was loyal and lovely until it turned on her. The point of this story is that the owner wasn't a "scroat", she was a pleasant, respectable person according to her neighbours. So it was the dog to blame not the owner, which nails the myth that there are no bad dogs only bad owners.
  15. I'm glad you find innocent people being savaged by staffies amusing, but even if there are only two people savaged to death by staffies a year, that's two too many. This also doesn't take into account all the non fatal staffy attacks on people, as well as all the times staffys attack other people's pets. such as this one. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2662488/Owner-Staffordshire-Bull-Terrier-ripped-head-family-pet-jailed-defying-court-order-walking-dog.html It's a common sight all over Sheffield's parks to see lowlife scrotes dragging stafys on chains, intimidating innocent people and making them uncomfortable. Why should decent people have to put up with it?
  16. If you want to give to a charity aren't you capable of contacting them directly? It's idiots like you that make it worthwhile to employ door to door chuggers to defraud confused pensioners like the one mentioned by the OP.
  17. So what is it you disagree with about my post. Are you saying the staffy attack didn't happen and that all the news sites reporting it are lying? Was it the owner's fault for letting her dog savage her? Or like a typical staffy apologist are you sticking your fingers in your ears and refusing to accept the overwhelming evidence about how vicious this breed is?
  18. Kids scream when they're having fun. Why shouldn't they just because some miserable old bat of a neighbour doesn't like it?
  19. Perhaps you'd prefer it if their parents got them a trampolining app for their ipads and stuck them in their rooms to stare at a screen all day? Well done to the parents for getting their kids out in the fresh air, getting some exercise and having fun. And is it really from dawn to dusk (which is currently about 5 am till 10pm) or are you exaggerating to make it sound worse than it really is?
  20. It seems these days that staffy attacks on people are so common that they're not newsworthy enough to be reported but I was shocked by this story. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/woman-aged-43-found-mauled-3901977 "A woman has been mauled to death in her home by her pet dog. Louise Caygill, 43, was killed by her Staffordshire bull terrier in her flat. Her body was found on Sunday and at first police treated her death as ‘unexplained’, the Liverpool ECHO reports. But detailed post mortem tests have concluded that she died from “multiple dog bites”. The animal has been put down. Merseyside Police investigating the death in the Old Swan area of Liverpool have informed her relatives. A spokesman for the force confirmed: “Merseyside Police can confirm that a post-mortem to establish the cause of death has provisionally concluded that she died of multiple dog bites, pending the results of toxicology and other tests. “A Staffordshire bull terrier belonging to the woman was seized by officers from the property and was destroyed.” http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/woman-aged-43-found-mauled-3901977#ixzz38TM6YiEP This proves the old staffy apologists myth of "blame the owner not the dog" is rubbish. Far from being the typical chav you might expect to own a staffy, a neighbour said of the victim "I just can’t believe that she is dead. She was a good-looking girl as well. She was very pretty. She was such a nice person. She said that she liked to travel and she would go to the poor countries." Isn't it time this dangerous breed was banned for good?
  21. I've never understood why the life of a police officer is deemed worth more than the life of any other person. Why should someone who kills a policeman get a more severe sentence than someone who, say, kills an accountant?
  22. You can rephrase it any way you like but you're still wrong.
  23. Why is he commenting on a conflict that's got nothing to do with us at all? He should be dealing with issues that affect the people of Bradford East not going on about some tinpot little country on the other side of the world.
  24. I'm sure all people, politicians especially, have got a few things in their past they'd rather keep quiet. Personally I'd rather judge a politician on his policies rather than the odd minor indiscretion he might have committed many years ago.
