  2. Just an update, I went to the interview was not allowed to comment on anything the interviewer said but i was allowed to sit in. They had 6 payslips from her partners work. and asked about 3 other weeks that is all. It turns out on the other weeks of claiming she was entitled just not as much. The interviewer was very nice an polite. she admitted to what she did. Plus there is proof she told the Job center her partner was working. They have 2 children and health issues from child 2 been born 3 months ago.. Will update once she knows.
  3. Hey All Just a quick post tomorrow i will be going with a friend to attend a interview at the dwp for a interview under caution for claiming whilst her partner was working. its not all as it seem hes on a 0 hour contract and most weeks he works but certain times of the year work dies down which leaves them with no money and is unpredictable when it will restart, they was going threw a hard time and didn't declare income as it was her claim and she was undergoing depression as she lost twins and nearly lost her mum to cancer then got pregnant a month after losing twin so she wasn't in the best place and is just getting back to herself. she did stop claiming herself and declared income as she is still entitled to housing benefit and council tax as its a low income, she owes around 5000 she claimed for under 12 months, will she go to prison? has anyone been threw this situation? does anyone know what will happen? any helps fine im trying to support her but i have never been threw this and know noone who has been in this situation.
  4. Yes the rent arrears was caused by the benefit office they messed up my claim so i had to reaply and then when they did process the claim i was told i was not entitled to the full back payment, i then made a complaint and asked them to reacces my claim and the same came back. i have had letters everytime i received one i rang and told them my situation asked then to put a note on the system. im just worried i have a 1year old son and do not want to become homeless ive tried my best to pay it off. the council just say they cannot stop proceedings which i cant understand why not.
