Hi Brian, I remember a chap called Alfie Jex ,he was a supervisor in 22 dept.As for Arnold Worrall,I married his daughter,Anne.Arnold used to work in 22 dept then finished up being the safety officer.of T.S.co. -

Wearing liberty bodices in the 1950s

I remember having to wear a liberty bodice , rubber buttons and all . but under this I wore a brown paper , what I can only describe as a vest coated with goose grease next to my skin , to keep me healthy . Can any one beat that.? -

Hi Brian, Mick Butler worked mainly in 42 department ,the other side of Warren St.on the 160 and 161 coiling machines. I,m sorry but I don,t remember a Bob Snazell.Glad you have gone grey ,that makes me feel better ,but Ive got a big hole in my wig ,It lets the sunshine in L.O.L. I will keep trying for info about Arnie. -

Hi Ellison, I once dated a beautiful ,slim dark haired girl .Marie Humphreys lived at 32, Carterlodge Ave. Sadly we split up ,broke my heart for ages. About 1970 ish .Did you know her.We were about 17 at the time. -

Hi Brian, sorry for the delay but I have,nt found anything about Arnie your best man. I will keep trying. Yes I did work under Eric Loukes, he was my supervisor,. At that time I did have long blond hair that has now turned a short thinning grey sort of style , I bet yours is still wavey and dark L.O.L. Hi Illuminati, I knew Fred H for many years . He was a very pleasant man and a joy to chat with. I also knew Mick Butler , he kept and worked the cleanest coiling machine on Tempered. -

Hi Penny, the same as Brian,I didnt spend a lot of time in the office , being a sparky and all,but I think Mrs Pye was very efficient and a nice lady.I worked in Warren St where the canteen was and visited many times .I probably know Doris but not her name. Very glad to learn that Mrs Pye is still "bright and breezy" Hi Brian, I will try to find more info about your best man. -
