  1. Okay, maybe its just 'cos of the nice weather of late, nut im REALLY tempted to buy me self a little cabriolet for the summer.I just wondered if anyone on here owned one,and if you do whats the practical considerations of owning a "ragtop",bearing inmind I dont have any secure parking:(
  2. Im a wednesday fan,but I voted fro the bl*des,to be realistic theyre the established championship side, and if were going to be honest,we were an above avarage Lg1 side,so I think survivals got to be the target for next season.Course,Id love to be proved wrong:D
  3. I started at Foxhill before moving to Yewlands.I left in 1990-it seems like yesterday-but the smattering of grey hairs and rising debts tell me that it wasnt:suspect:
  4. Apparently no more than you lot of idiots have to say-thats why you have to post on a wednesday thread, yer numpty:rolleyes:
  5. This may be true of the latest films, but remember Episode IV's success was largely down to word of mouth.
  6. Maybe a cunning way to bring the Daleks back one more time:D Is anyone else looking forward to the return of the cybermen? For me waaaay better than the Daleks!
  7. A NEW crap version?What worse than the original?Surely not:D
  8. And if the opposition turn out to be just as bad what then?Remember,Mugabe came to power with the tacit approvel of the British, who saw him as someone with whom they could deal with. Leaving aside the silly 'look how funny foreigners say british' element of youre post,do you genuinly beleive Mugabe hates the British?I sincerely doubt it myself. All Mugabe's doing is trading on the 'Empire' card, just as Nasser and Idi Amin did before him.
  9. No,it probably would have happened. It just would have been US nicking peoples lands, raping etc,etc...
  10. Mrs Krabapple from the simpsons-that whole dirty teacher thing does it for me:heyhey: (and before anyone says it-YES I do know shes a cartoon character:suspect: )
  11. My thoughts, having just seen Bob Gobb-off on the news actively encouraging hackers to disable the Ebay site are as follows:- 1/Will Live 8 lose out on any money due to the sale of the tickets-NO! as a matter of fact, they may end MAKING money out of the sales. After all, whos to say that,if a ticket fetches a decent sum(One has been sold for £3000)that the seller, due to guilty conscience or maybe a genuine desire to support the charity wont donate a percentage of the sale to Live 8? 2/Will the bands supperting the event get NOTHING from there performances?NOT EFFING LIKELY!-I can guarantee that all the bands appearing at the gig will receive an upturn in their album/single/dvd sales because of it.Is this kind of profiteering any less distastefull than someone selling the tickets on ebay? Add to this a news item I heard on the radio on my way home from work that a certain Michael Jackson may be making an appearance at the concert-of course for all completely charitable reasons-nothing to do with him trying to resurrect his career is it? Im sorry for the rant, but I despise the way charity has become a kind of moral elitism, and anyone who dosnt abide with the general consensus is branded an uncaring bigot.Rant over:rant:
  12. Ssshhhhhhh.....................Thats 'sposed to be a secret:nono:
  13. Nah then mouse Leave da faceyparty outa dis I'll ave ya [/b] Thats how I met you!I rest my case:hihi:
  14. I do think that some of the dating sites on the web give people an excellant way to meet new people, especially if for whatever reason, they find it difficult to talk/meet someone new. I have used a well-known,very reputable dating site in the past, and ive met some, ahem, interesting ladies on there:suspect: As was said in the post above, many have issues-SCARY issues,or have some seriously heavy baggage.Having said this,I genuinly dont think this is any different to any other walk of life, and certainly isnt confined to the users of internet dating sites, and im sure there are many genuine, honest people out there who find the internet to be a viable alternative to the club/pub scene. Dont even get me started on Faceparty though:rolleyes:
  15. Reading books like that will make you cynical:D
  16. Theres also a good P*ss take-sorry "pastiche" on spaced:hihi:
  17. Its difficult to say.Im not trying to be overly "macho",but few horror films really scare me.Having said that,I think the shining has its moments:D
  18. The problem with not looking(Which, incidentally,I completely agree with you on) is that when youre a "long-term" singleton, relationships take on an almost mythical status and become the ONLY thing in life that matters-and when somethings as important to you as that, how do you not "look"?
  19. I think,to be fair, the US did supply Britain, all be it covertly, with a large amount of military aid and intelligence during the falklands war. They were reluctant to be seen as taking sides in a conflict between two allies(not unreasonably),but they did quite clearly come down on our side when push came to shove.Legend has it that Reagan offered the loan of a US supercarrier, which would have greatly increased our fighting ability in the south Atlantic, but Thatcher declined the offer. As to the poll,im broadly in favour of closer ties to europe, but at this moment in time,we do not have the politicians capable of handling such a sensitive issue,in my opinion:(
  20. Brave new world-an almost perfect prediction of the way the worlds gone, unfortunatly.Soma, anyone?
  21. DOG SOLDIERS!!!!!!!!!!! That bit at the end when the werewolves enter the bedroom has me bent double with laughter-they look more like yorkshire terriers on stilts than werewolves:hihi:
