Interesting. I am not exactly that bothered about the nightlife of a place (clubbing, bars, etc). It's finding people of my own age, activities, etc, that worries me more, for example, when I have mates popping in.

Sorry to provide another one of those place versus place threads. I know that they can be annoying but I am looking for some advice. Anyway, I'm a recent graduate with a new job in Chesterfield. The job requires the use of a company car and quick access to the motorways. I need to be able to work nationwide. I am looking at Chesterfield and Sheffield as possible places to live (rent). I am swaying towards Chesterfield as rents seem to be better and Chesterfield has quite a range of shops. I was wondering whether people recommended Chesterfield or Sheffield to live? What major brands (shops) does Chesterfield not have in the centre of town? Can anyone recommend places to rent and places to avoid in Chesterfield? Also what do people think of the local letting agents? Are there any that should be avoided at all cost? Thank you for your help
