  1. Based on the music you say you like I'd suggest starting off somewhere like Vodka Rev bar, work your way down the bars on West st and end up after about 1am in either the Viper Rooms or the Forum .
  2. Exactly what the poster above said. You'll still get bbc 1 ,2 , Itv, channel 4 and quite a lot more for free even though you've cancelled. You'll also get the free HD channels like bbc and channel 4 . One thing you might not realise is if you"ve sky pulsed any program's you'll lose them when your subscription runs out. Unless its recorded from the channels you continue to get for free. Finally I bet Sky phone you up and offer to reduce your payment tariff if you agree not to cancel. I phoned up to cancel all my program's for the summer back in April, a couple of days before the months notice ran out they phoned me up and offered me my sports / entertainment, etc package that I had been paying £60 per month for at a reduced rate of £20 per month for 12 months. So I kept them all.
  3. Snap-on Industrial Industrial Business Centre Telford Way Kettering NN16 8UN United Kingdom Tel: +44 (0)1536 413 904 Fax: +44 (0)1536 413 874 Email: industrialuk@snapon.com
  4. I'd try giving Peak fireplaces a ring. If they don't repair them thier selfs I'm sure they might offer advice on whom to contact. http://www.fireplacescene.co.uk/default.asp?loc=15/
  5. Oh dear. I suggest you use your school holidays and google and YouTube who the bands are then. Most of the cover bands are well known on the music circuits in Sheffield covering classic hits. If you don't know who the Beat, Lambretta's , Skatterlites, Nev Stapples etc are . Ask any adult that knows anything about music. £35 for a whole day of entertainment is peanuts. I usually pay that for one band at the Arena. Lets hope the sunshine continues for that weekend.
  6. I'd try plumbcenter. If they don't have one I'm sure they would be able to advise where else to try.
  7. Most of the fields you are referring to that are covered in yellow rapeseed and red poppies are located in the fields behind the Wheel pub at Mosbororough . If you go as far up plumbly hall rd as the previous poster put its mainly the bridle style playing fields. Park near the Wheel pub and walk through the genal in the direction of Eckington woods and all the fields are covered in these flowers. It's an amazing sight.
  8. I always thought it was a standard 400 m athletics track.
  9. Williams fasteners definitely have them but they have a minimum £10 spend policy. You'd be better off going to somewhere like Shaws the iron mongers near Bramall Lane. http://www.shawsironmongers.co.uk/
  10. Cromwell tools, and Alltools on Staniforth Rd both offer repair services. I've used both and can recommend them.
  11. I've seen a band called the soulfaces, they do all 60's records. http://www.soulfaces.co.uk/
  12. The one they did for the millinium at the Don valley stadium was fantastic. Happy days !
  13. Can 't help you with the name. But when I first saw it bee built i thought what a strange location to build a new pub / resturant. Then it was pointed out to me that if the new Chinese theme park ever gets off the ground the entrance to it would be opposite. So possibly a master stroke by the the owners !
  14. You've just missed the latest KGB night. It is the second Saturday of each month. It's a top night.
  15. Puerto Banus for a stag do ! I 've been there, 12 euros a pint in the bars on the front there. Which is great if you're a footballer, or millionaire and can afford it. Not so good if you're normal and find yourself in the cheap backstreet bars.
  16. I thought you were asking about venues in the town centre. If not , Just out of town there's Mosborough Hall , and Van Dykes Resturant . Both these have regular weekend events. Check their websites for what's coming up.
  17. The Hop in West one always have a band on at weekends.
  18. I've got to agree with many of the posts on here , it's criminal that this stadium is closing down. My thoughts on it it though is that it as been so badly under utilised over the years . Why did the sheffield eagles leave the stadium ? Why can't the stadium attract the reserve teams of the two Sheffield clubs to play thier games there ? Why isn't there more outdoor music concerts there ( the large ones I went to were great ). Finally , with the wave of support for our Jessica why isn't there a large scale games weekend planned with her taking part in it ? ( or if there is , further to my case , I ain't seen it advertised )
  19. The car parks adjacent to the site of the recently demolished fire station are £3 for 6 hours. I think the roads called Rockingham Street. I was pleasantly surprised to find this out last weekend when I went into town shopping and for a Saturday afternoon meal in town.
  20. I'd also recommend the breakfast they've just started serving in the Queen at Mosborough. For something different try Damons at Beighton. I've been to that a few times http://www.damons.co.uk/pdf/Damons-Breakfast-Menu-2012.pdf
  21. If you're in your late 20's my suggestion for the weekend would be starting the top end of west st. I'd recommend the Vodka Rev bar. Then a pub crawl down either west st or Div st and possibly end up in the Viper Rooms. Although at your age Embrace might be ok , but I wouldn't know cos I've not been in for a long time .
  22. Wasn't there a huge post on this subject a few months ago ? I don't think anyone ever did agree on the quickest route on it.
  23. I didn't read the dates on the posts at first . I started thinking , Board walk ? That's been shut ages ! , Grapes ? I'm sure they don't do gigs any more ! How things change in such a short time
  24. There's a few. Alltools on Staniforth Rd like already mentioned. There's Cromwell tools in Attercliffe, Northern Power tools, and there's also Screwfix opposite B+Q on Queens Rd. They all seem to have various deals on at various times so its hard to ever say one place is better than another.
