  1. Thank you Lisspot. I'm so sorry someone had already pm'd me who also had abandoned Chins to take the stuff. I'm waiting to hear back if she wants the cage, which is large but a bit rusty in places and has one area that may need a little repair, but can let you know if she doesn't want it, if you could make use of it? X
  2. Hi Does anyone know of a Chinchilla rescue that would possibly appreciate some items being donated? Very sadly my 16 year old Chinchilla passed away overnight and I'd like to give his things to a rescue if possible, rather than throw them away. Thank you
  3. Hi I have a Border Collie. Have had her since a pup. Recently and increasingly getting worse she has started to show aggressive behaviour towards my mum, when she is alone with her. She never does it if myself or my husband are present. She barks and growls at her and raises her hair on her back. My mum has known her and looked after her since a pup whilst i was out working, she has never done anything to hurt her. She doesn't have the respect for my mum as a leader as she does for me and my husband. So far she has tried telling her off, calling her to come and stroking her, shutting her in another room, muzzling her, spraying with water. Nothing has worked and I don't know how to help as I am never present when she does it and don't know why she is doing it, but I need to stop it. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
  4. It is available on the NHS, but only for those who live with someone who is seriously immunocompromised eg someone having chemo. Thankfully not the case for us, yes I would be paying to have private vaccinations.
  5. Hi All I'm currently considering this for my children, would be interested to hear from anyone who has had it done, thanks
  6. Nearly New Children's Clothes and Baby Equipment Sale Saturday 4th October 1-3pm St Thomas' church centre opposite Crookes post office
  7. Thanks for the info Medusa, that strikes a cord as my little one doesn't 'go' all that often....I have booked with Chris Johnson at the osteopathic practice, they offer a free initial consultation and treatment, in return for a charity donation to the children's hospital, am a bit sceptical, but figured it was worth a shot. Would like to hear from any mums who have tried it.
  8. Hi Has anyone tried this with successful results?
  9. My sympathies and thoughts to you Felix24. I have never owned a cat, so can't help with regards to his symptoms. We were in a similar position a few years back with my mum's elderly dog and made the decision to call the vet out to pts in the comfort of his own home. However this is not a cheap option, but much kinder for your pet.You will know in your heart, if it is the right time for this to happen and know that you are doing your friend a great kindness, no matter how painful it is for you. 10. Does anyone know where I can recycle my Christmas cards this year please? Looked round Crystal Peaks today, but none of the shops had any of the boxes.
  11. Hi The Bethesda church on Mansfield Rd do on a wed am and pm, they are lovely and I enjoyed the along my son there up until he started school.
  12. I would also be interested to know which ares this happenef? My mum's greyhound was attacked by 2 Bullmasiffs 2 years ago. Police not interested in dog on dog fights despite their dogs been off lead and out of control and her's was on lead. Luckily insured as cost 1500 quid at vet.
  13. Thanks for all your helpful replies. Kaye2812 which hospital are you under? I see the consultant after my 20 week scan at Rotherham to discuss.
  14. Just after some points of view/tales of experience please. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. My first I had in 2008 after 36 hours of labour. Went into labour spontaneously but ended up on drip and with epidural. I had an emergency C section, due to a rim of cervix still remaining and baby was starting to be distressed. Also he was 9lb. I was exhausted by it all and went on to have major problems with breast feeding, resulting in me having to express for 6 months, which was very hard work. So its taken me a few years to pluck up courage to try it all again.... I am awaiting an appointment with the consultant to discuss my options this time and their opinion. I know they will probably be pushing me to try VBAC. At the moment I am leaning towards an elective section because I know this baby will be large and I am frightened to go through labour again and it all go wrong and still end up having another emergency section. Thanks for reading
