  18. yes I live in s5 Longley est and are chopping down lots of trees in Longley I came home and one had been chopped down across from my house no notice was put on this tree so could not complain about it. it was a London plane it was fetched to London for pollution the bark takes it in and then falls of with new bark to take its place I rang them about this it took them 5 days to ring me back I have the same tree outside my house close to my house and ask them what impact report. to how it would affect my house as the trees drink about 500 gallons a day they said they are not bothered about the affects on the houses as long as the footpaths are ok if it subsides you will not sell it and the insurance will cost a lot if they will cover it at all
  19. the trees was planted when the house was built its the soil change that may cause problems I am not a tree hugger but was not given any info about this there is more light in your home less leaves but if you have problems after they will not want to know they should put a notice of intent. they was none put on that tree one was put on 2 trees above that one in november when I told the man cutting down tree there had been no notice on it he did not want to know. the next day the one with the notice was chopped down. when I rang them to ask them about this we will ring you back we have up to 5 days to ring you 3 days still no call
  20. yes but think 800 gallons who would say a tree drank so much after all its even more than 3 tons
