  1. I have heard castle market will be welcomed onto the moor, does anyone know when this will be happening?
  2. How terrible. I'm on furnival gate and didn't see the accident but I thought it must have involved a pedestrian with it been cordened off. Was sat in the traffic going down past the accident and over heard the police reiterating what had happened. The pedestrian apparantly lost his footing and skittled into the path of the oncoming bus. Must be aweful for the driver as well.... mentally scarring.
  3. Does anyone know why they are cutting the trees down on the Moor in Sheffield? Wondering if the development is going to begin
  4. Hi there Try this one 0114 289 5382 Kindest regards Rebecca

  7. I run the shop alone and during the day I have to nip upstairs to change the washing, use WC etc, so I lock the door and put a sign up asking to ring the bell and wait 20 seconds while I come back down. I didn't used to lock the door, simply have an alarm to tell me when a customer was entering, but undesirables started running in and pinching what they could before I made it back down. Please don't let it put you off, it's only a precaution and I come straight down when the bell is rung. Thank you
  8. I totally agree, it needs a considerable amount of money spending on it, and the empty shops.. they are asking 55k a year rent, so no ones filling them, no decent companies anyway. You can get a high street store up near the cathedral for the same price. No one wants to pay them rates down the moor when there is nothing down there they have got to get real seriously lower the rent askings
  9. The whole point of a charity store is for society to be able to give a little help by giving away something your never going to use again anyway, knowing that it's going towards saving and making peoples lives better. If it's stuck in the cupboard cluttering the place up, would you rather not have the satisfaction of knowing you could be helping save a childs life for eg..... or a fiver in your back pocket?
  10. You are so right, there aren't many shops left down the Moor now, closing one after the other. I'm wondering when the new Market place is planned to be finished. It's becoming all takeways and council window displays. Something needs doing prompto otherwise this end of Sheffield will just die out
  11. Didn't know there was such a service, I think that's decent, I'd be happy anyway I usually give them away anywhere
  12. I've put it on our business FB page to circulate. Hope he's found very soon
  13. What about Sheffield centre? Do people tend to view the Moor as a High street any more? It just seems to be fizzling out
  14. My postie leaves mine in the blue bin ...... don't go pinching all my parcels now
  15. We are a retail unit in Sheffield centre, and have noticed that down the Moor is decreasing in the amount of footfall. Enlighten us shoppers - where do you tend shop in Sheffield?
  16. Hi there, It is true no doubt about it if you look hard enough your bound to find second hand items cheaper, but we do provide a service and a store to browse with expert advise and knowledge, professionally clean our products, and provide a guarantee, and have to make a profit. It's exactly the same as a used car business for example. Saying that, we are still cheaper than eBay on most of our products  Kindest regards Rascal babies
  17. Hi there, No that was scallywags but they closed back end of last year. We have been in sheffield on furnival gate coming up to 3 years Kindest regards Rascal babies
