It was a windows XP disk, I didn't find the restore disks until after I had wiped my laptop. Would it have been better to use these? And when I update the drivers, should I let windows find the update itself? -

ermmmm I've no idea to be honest. The windows cd came with my laptop so I thought the drivers for the graphics card would be installed automatically when I re installed windows. How do I update the drivers? -
Hi, I thought I'd start this on the off chance that someone may have a solution to my troubles! I think I'm having trouble with my graphics card. Everytime I try to load a game or programme that has moving graphics the screen goes blank, re-appears in 256 colour mode, goes blank again and then usually stays that way. Sometimes it also tries to reduce the resolution. I've tried running these programmes in different compatibility modes, 256 colour mode etc etc and a few mates have said the codecs/drivers might not be installed correctly. I think it may be due to the fact that I wiped my laptop a few months ago and re installed windows. These programmes worked before I did this. Is there anything I can do to find out what the problem is?? Many thanks

The world cup megathread! ...everything here!

Hmmmm can't say I agree. I believe all England's players are in the squad on their own merit. Fowler may still be one of the best finishers in the country but he does not have the fitness, having only been a bit player over the later parts of the season. He's also too out of touch with the International set up. I personally agree with Sven's decisions, especially concerning Walcott. I think most people will agree. Rooney has to go, simple as that, and him aside Owen is our best striker! He might not be 100% fit and sharp, but he is a big game player and that will come. I believe the England national team do not rely on corporate sponsors survive, they are just ways of making extra cash, helping with costs etc. They can survive without them and hence they do not have much power over selection. As has been mentioned on a previous thread, if there's any corruption going on, it'll be the likes of David Dean..... -
Oh yes very clever Nicholarse, althought I don't see how you deduced that considering I didn't mention what in, where from and what class degree. Is that the only thing you could pick up on? Then you, my friend, are the genius. My intellect aside, I was merely stating that you continue to think that every car with an England flag attatched is driven by a brain dead football hooligan. These kind of generalisations are not kind, welcome or even accurate in the slightest.
